For your 04, you won't go wrong using what Toyota recommends in your Owners Manual which is pink/Super Long Life Coolant(SLLC)

    from 04 Owners Manual....

Pink and Red are the same HOA (hybrid organic acid) - Diff is pink is already diluted to 50/50. So any name brand HOA will work successfully and if you test for PH and concentration once a year you cannot go wrong knowing WHEN to change the fluid again.

Red is cheaper yet you have to dilute with pure distilled water so you get 2 gallons for a couple bucks more - better value if you can mix 2 fluids proportionally.

What I use (and test from day one - once per year) -

    From Toyota's web site:

"...pink car coolant can last up to 100,000 miles or 10 years for the factory fill, and needs to be changed every 60,000 miles or 5 years after that. The Toyota red coolant has a much shorter life than the pink color. This color needs to be changed every 30,000 miles or every 2 years."

So there is a difference, but IMHO, every two years seems excessive for changing red coolant.

It definitely is too much on red, but the reality is, Toyota says use pink SLLC, so you should use pink SLLC.

Not changing your coolant at Toyota's recommended service intervals can help contribute to head gasket failure. At least our buddy Car Care Nut claims that's the cause of the water port next to the cylinders blowing out on Toyota V8s.

Don't get me wrong, I've heard this before, but that's the first reputable guy I've seen on YouTube make the claim.

this is what I use. Zero issues. Truck goes on multiple trips over 2hrs. And has done a 18hr there and 18hr back from CO. Zero issues. Idles for work a total of 5hrs then 4hrs. Zero issues.

I should get around to giving it a flush before my next trip to CO though.

I figure since this is cheaper, it's better off proactively giving a flush. Since it doesn't hurt the wallet either it ain't a big deal

Nothing wrong with using Peak or Zerex, but Toyota pink has been the exclusive coolant for every Toyota vehicle produced in the last 20 years. I'd be surprised if any Toyota dealer stocked anything other than Toyota pink.
