Recently installed some long tube headers with 3 inch exhaust, was wondering if there was a down side to installed a 2.5 inch muffler onto a 3 inch exhaust pipe? Would it hurt anything or would it be fine to do?

Are you trying to keep some back pressure? Is that where you want to go with the smaller muffler? Seems like you spent so much money getting true 3 inch, why would you want to skimp now?

more than I can list here
Don’t neck it down to 2.5”

If you’re running long tube headers and already have 3” exhaust keep 3” mufflers.

    If shorties then go 2.5”
