Did anyone else cringe when he pulled that filthy cap off and flipped it upside down, or is it just me? :D

In this video this guy is on his third Tundra. His first went over a million miles and so do his second. He says his secret to longevity is "regular maintenance" and oil changes every 10,000 miles.

This is the reason why I bought the 2021 Tundra.

At national average of $3.28 per gallon, assuming he had the 4.6, that's over $190k to pay for the gas to cover a million miles.

 and he did it twice?

His most recent truck, the one with the 5.7 is the one with the 700k miles.

Oh so he hit a million on #1, a million on #2, and #3 is at 700k? That's crazy.

Is the host of this video the guy who got stuck in the mud in his tundra? All that trouble for an oil change and then he hits his twin turbos with a pressure washer. If his truck survives its a testimony for Toyota quality.

Haha the front is so long they can barely reach the engine cover on that 22' in the beginning of the video.

That million mile guy is that the one Toyota gave him a new truck for his old one?

I thought the interior looked pretty good considering the owner is 300+ lbs.

    Yeah that is Victor Sheppard.

That video deserved to be way better.

    Super confusing all around.

Message received though---lots of miles hot-shotting in Tundras.

I’d have done the oil change myself, instead of running around trying to find someone.

Awesome that you met the million miles man. I love my Tundra as well. Power washing under the hood made me cringe. Same way, when a dude doesn’t know how to change a flat tire.

Isn't it generally understood that a vehicle staying in a running state for long periods of time is far better than on/off start/stop. I mean, it's quite the achievement, but if you're putting on 200k per year or so, that's quite different use.

    EDIT:

Also, I can't unsee the vinyl now. Even on the 2.5gen b pillars.

I wonder how many miles the truck Toyota gave him has on it because that wasn’t it. If I remember they gifted a 2016 limited crewmax.

Yes, I'd agree with that. Put it on the highway and leave it there, and it's just idling along putting no strain at all on it.

But with that kind of mileage when do you stop? :) How do you even do 700,000 miles? You'd have to do near 400 miles a day, every day, for five years.

The truck was labeled United Vision Logistics and had a USDOT number on it. Probably drives delivery of some kind.

I think they had said he runs parts for oil rigs or something like that, pretty much as hotshot delivery guy for them.

Didn't he say in that video that he's had a lot more than 3 Tundras ? I swear I heard him say that he gets a new one every year .
Which makes that mileage even more incredible .
