To me the 1 st is far better looking than the 2nd gen especially in a regular cab.

Just wanted to share a pic of the one 2 gen I do like

    There is no turd gen........
But it could definitely have the facelift put on it to look newer

I like both generations, especially the regular cab.

Did they even make a 1st Generation with a Short Bed?

Sort of tough to compare a Short and Long bed in any configuration isn't it?

There was no factory 1st generation RCSB... the wheelbase of the 1st gen RCLB is almost identical to the wheelbase of the 2nd gen RCSB.

I've always liked lowered trucks, as well as lifted. It's a shame what's happened to that scene though. I'd fear owning one for being labeled a takuache.

I am not a fan of lowering that reduces ground clearance, I would never want to give up my elevated seating position.

Some of the 2nd gens have grown on me recently. I agree the regular cabs look good but I would want a 4x4 5.7 which I think they didn't make a ton of.

    They made more 4wd 5.7s than 2wd 5.7s

The RCSB 2WD (with 5.7) was manufactured from 2007 to 2010.
The RCSB 4WD (with 5.7) was manufactured from 2007 to 2013.

I keep hearing there is no turd gen but there obviously is cause there's a 2nd a turd gen forum. Maybe it makes the turd gen ppl feel better paying 18k more for the same truck in 2020?

I didn't realize until last week they made some 2nd gens with the V6. That doesn't sound enjoyable.

    Its for the forums :D
Calling a turd gen a different generation is like calling the 00-02 first gen and the 03-04 second gen just because it got a little face-lift.

Same. If I wanted a low clearance 2wd vehicle, I'd buy a car. Trucks have to be high clearance and 4x4.

I agree, but my 'SPORT' truck doesn't have to be 4WD.

I only like the first gen if it has a small lift and nice wheels and tires.
