I just bought a 2001 Tundra about a month ago and just noticed the horn doesn't work. I checked both horns by disconnecting the wiring harness plug from the horn and jumpering the horn straight to the positive battery post which both worked fine when jumpered. The 20amp fuse is good, and the hazard lights work. I just changed the cLock spring out, but the horn still isn't working. When I press down on the horn I can hear a click sound from the relay. Any ideals?

Cock spring and horn in the same sentence??? Uh... @hagrid

On a more serious note, sounds like you have a broken wire leaving the circuit open between the relay and the horn. I'd most likely just run a new wire between the two and see what happens vs trying to find the bad spot. Click on forums, scroll to garage, click on electrical and you can see a thread for all the wiring diagrams. Find your wire and get to testing or bypassing.

Check your ground wire for the horn.

Just to make sure, the relay sound you hear is down in the fuse panel area ?

If indeed that's the case and you're sure of 20 amp fuse, the gnd from horn switch is reaching the Integration Relay Panel. You'll almost certainly have to troubleshoot with a volt meter the output of pin 8 of 1E connector on back side of Integration Relay Panel to see if 12vdc is headed to Horns. Fortunately the Horn circuit is fairly straight forward.

Yeah the click sound appears to be coming from the fuse panel area in the dash. thanks, I will check and see if 12vdc is headed to Horn.

Update on the 2001 tundra horn not working:

After two weeks of troubleshooting and tinkering I finally found out the problem.

I ran a new wire from underneath the dashboard to the horn but when I was going to slice into the wire at the horn the wires just pulled apart.

Rotten wires right behind the horn connector at the driver side horn.

Thanks everyone on here that helped me. I really appreciate it.

    The horns work now. WOOHOO
