I'm trying to find the part in the title. Any suggestions where to search for it? My local dealership says it isnt available.

So the door latch/lock mechanism or the door handle with the lock or what? Post a picture of it if you can.

First, a necessary warning: DO NOT trust parts from scAmazon or fleaBay. Lots of white-box/knockoffs. The last guy who did that with door components (very recently) ended up paying hundreds of dollars having a body shop get his door to open again after it closed and wouldn't re-open using a scAmazon part.

I'm with @NickB_01TRD on this one: Do you need the lock assembly inside the door? Outside the door? Better yet ... Part lookup info is here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/howto-use-the-toyota-parts-system-to-find-order-parts.113808/

With that parts system link ... Focus only on the bulleted points. After you plug your VIN into the EPC-DATA site, click the "body & interior" link, then find the "FRONT DOOR LOCK & HANDLE" link and you'll get something like this.

You can click the link under the exploded pic to see it in huge format. "(RH)" is the right-hand (passenger) part and "(LH)" is the left-hand (driver) part. You can click on any number in the picture to pull up part numbers and details for the part in question. IMHO it's a super-easy system to use and because it's VIN specific, we have yet to find anyone that's used it on this forum and actually gotten a wrong part to my knowledge. In fact, at least 2-3 times now, we've helped a member find the correct part after the dealership parts department gave them the wrong p/n from Toyota's system!!
