Hello all. Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a search and couldn't find a answer. I got a 2005 double cab a week ago and have been fixing some things. The drivers door pull was ripped off and I got it back on with epoxy and some screws but I'd like to replace it. Does anyone know if the Sequoia door panels will fit the double cab? They seem to be the same visually. There are no Tundras in the local junkyards but there are several Sequoias.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Can't answer definitively; don't have a DC

But what I can tell you is DC and Sequoia may as well be variations of the same model; lots of shared parts, just one with a bed, other with a cabin. Reg cab and access cab are virtually the same, with different proportion of cab-to-bed, lots of shared parts. However, the two pairs may as well be cousins, if not second cousins, when you consider the other differences.

If visually similar, I'd expect them to be the same fitment. Where you may hit snags is with interior color codes; sometimes there's slight variations in pigment year to year, and/or different color codes altogether.

As you're new to your truck, I'd push this thread on you as something to dig into. Could be a good intro on things to watch out for and understand.

I dove right into that thread after I joined. So much great information. But I couldn't find this answer. I might have to replace both front door panels to get a match. I don't mind doing that if the match isn't too off. Or maybe I'll just have to wait and continue my search.

I'm not aware of anyone who's done it on the DC side; the other consideration is that some DC came with JBL package and others not; you can pretty easily remove the grill mesh to swap between panels though. It's just a matter of folding up some tabs, lifting the mesh off, and moving the other over. Door control pad could be different also, but the opening should be same/similar. If you end up diving in before someone here can give an answer, and find it works, don't hesitate to fill in - I'd be curious to know the answer and I'm sure someone else will stumble on this later too.

My gut is telling me, based on similarities, that it should be an identical part. This could be further confirmed by getting the part number for the door card and looking up the compatibility of the part. There's a sticky thread that'll help you find the part number here, and if you take that part number and shop around with it, look at the compatibility list at another website, it may answer your question for you. If you find the part number for the door card but can't find compatibility, come back here and post the number; I can find a compatibility matrix faster than I can find your part without a VIN. :D

Thank you! If I have time this coming weekend I'll see if there are any at the pull a parts locally and give it a try. I'll post the results one way or another.

    Thanks for looking that up!

90% of Toyota's part numbers for our trucks follow a pattern such as: AAAAA-BBBBB-CC where series AAAAA is the specific, unique, core part category/area (interior-doors, exterior-body, etc.), BBBBB is typically tied to a variation (such as dash parts, could be wood finish, with or without 4WD provisions, or even later/newer revision numbers), and the final CC is virtually always a color code with body parts, but something like '84' could indicate a remanufactured part, as we see with rebuildable mechanical parts like CV Axles.

Given the only effective difference I see in your list is the 2nd numbers as 'C151' and other is 'C141', I'm going to stick my neck out there and say one part number is for JBL stereo, the other is for non-JBL, and the variation is that simlpe: One has privisions for the JBL speakers (like, the grills with JBL plaque on them). Virtuall all color codes starting Bx are black-grey based, and anything starting Ex is tan-beige based, which explains the trailing letter differences.

My thoughts exactly. Should be the same physical panel size but with different speaker holes or variations. And seems like you’re correct on the color code differences.

Looks like '51' is cloth and '41' is leather. I wonder if maybe there's another p/n variation out there for JBL? Or maybe all JBL vehicles also had leather. Would be helpful if there was a Toyota decoder ring out there!

i have JBL and cloth but I don’t think the speakers would change anything on the door unless the sail point attachment is different..

Sail panel, yep. But you usually only hear that from car audio heads. Non-car audio folks tend to call those stuff like 'a pillar triangle' or other weird stuff.

I need a drivers side armrest for my XSP. I can’t find one anywhere other than Canada and they won’t ship to the US. The part has been discontinued. I called a junkyard and the guy said he didn’t see one within 4 states of me. Does anyone know where to get one? The armrest is coming loose from the door panel. I stopped by an upholstery shop and the guy said I needed a replacement. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance.

Buy a whole door panel from any tundra or sequoia of your color choice. There should be plenty of these vehicles in junk yards, my local has a few, the pull-a-part up the road has one or two. You should be able to find a whole door panel easier than finding just the handle itself.

Also watch your local Facebook marketplace or Craigslist or whatever flavor of classified most people in your area use for somebody parting a whole vehicle out. Scavenge parts there
