    Hello all

Been reviewing any post I can find here and anything else online and looking for a little info on headlight adjustment.
Is there only 1 adjustment screw on the 2005 models? The one on the side, which in order to get to, you need to remove the directional housing.
Any one have any pics of the adjustment screws if there are more than one?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe there's only one adjustment screw for up and down only. On my 06 I didn't remove the corner lamp. All you need is a long phillips screw driver.

I watched and followed exactly what the guy did. I found out that you don't need to take the corner lamp out. A long phillips is all you need. There's grooves where the screwdriver makes contact with and will turn that bolt. The bolt is not on tight.

    Well you guys are good.

After taking things apart, ( and finding out that one of the housing mounting clips is broken ) I did see the groves for a screwdriver.... soooooo, a new housing and a trip to Harbor Freight is on the list of things to get done.

The lights were replaced after a minor accident and have never been adjusted correctly. I researched it once before but never attempted to aim. I was questioning the need to take half the front apart to aim the lights. At least I know it will be easier the next time.

    Thanks for all the info.

Yep, that's the one. And yeah, the shaft on that driver is pretty girthy. I dunno if you saw the ones BMF posted a few replies up in that thread I linked you too, but long and skinny shafted #2 driver is ideal. And it steel on plastic can be difficult at first. It doesn't move super-freely on aftermarket lamps, but my OEM ones were not too bad. If you hit the toothed washer with some Superlube, or maybe lithium grease, and work it in, they're easier to manage.

I can tell you, after replacing my OEM light housings with more OEM light housings, they don't come pre-lubed from the factory.

Just a quick reminder that Harbor Freight sells the official Tundra First Gen Headlight Adjuster Tool. :D
