Hello all, first time poster here. I bought a 2006 access cab in July. It's a cool truck. SR5 with the I force V8 in Silver. 80K mi, 1 owner, already had the frame done. I'm trying to buy a lumber rack but I'm getting a lot of the sites saying there's not a compatible one. Did they change the bed width when the style changed between 06/07 and that's why I'm getting jammed up? Anything else I should know about this year/model? I'm a total noob, always had fords before, kinda bought this on a whim because I was truckless and the price was decent and I thought it looked badass. Thanks in advance...

    Welcome to the forum!
When you say lumber rack, what do you mean?
Like load bars for the bed? or a total bed rack system that comes up and over the cab?
Have any links for what you're looking at?

Don’t look for stuff for 07, firsties only went to 06. While digging recently for another member, it appear the bed lengths and widths are the same between a 06 access cab and a double cab.......BUT the depth of the beds differ.
When all else fails, measure 4 times and hope for the best! But seriously, measure your bed and compare it to specs that are with whichever manufacturer your leaning towards. Good luck lumber jack!

I remember this confusion when i was shopping for my old gen 1. The bed of the AC and double cab are different. The double cab was 04-06 so double check measurements before buying

My camper shell is from an AC. Fits my DC just fine. The rear corners might have about 3/8 of an inch gap. The AC bed must be a smidge longer. IMG_20190430_101252463.jpg
