    Hello all,

I’m looking to switch my wheel set up on my 2006 XSP. It came from the factory with the 20’ BBS rims. I’m really looking to get tires with beefier tread and get away from the street look.

My initial thought is to drop down to a stock Toyota rim (17 inch I believe) and possible 31 inch tires, but not sure if anyone on here has done this on this exact truck... if so, did you have any clearance/rub issues? Should I be looking at a different set up? Looking for advice/input. I appreciate the help in advance!

You’ll be fine dropping to a 17 inch wheel, and will have no problems fitting a 265/70/17. You could probably squeeze 275/70’s but that will narrow tire choices.

does your truck have a leveling kit or plans for a leveling kit?

Thanks Cummins3500. This truck is bone stock, have done nothing after market on it besides an in dash unit. I’m just looking for tires with actual tread, especially for pulling the boat out of the water on those low tides.

You happen to know the bolt pattern on these first gen tundras?

6 lug w/ 6x5.5 inch or some wheels list it as 6x139.7mm. Same bolt pattern though. You going for aftermarket wheels or oem Toyota?

I’m going back and forth. I wouldn’t mind running a stock set to be honest with you.
