This has @ColoradoTJ written all over it. Could be back in a Tundra again.

No reason you couldn't put one on. It's the 5.7 according to the info. It may have one, I just didn't look closely enough.

That has got to be the sketchiest piece of crap I have ever seen for 90k. “Made In Canada” “custom spec” “held up in customs” “LineX instead of paint” “1 ton truck built off a half ton frame”. 90,000 dollars!? I can, and did buy a factory new f-450 tow truck for quite a bit less than that and it was built for the job from a reputable manufacturer.

    NOPE

I wouldn’t touch that with your 10ft pole.

I would drive down just to look at that if I was still working in Tulsa.

I wonder if it’s just a Tundra cab and engine on a 4500/5500 chassis from one of the big 3. It has 19.5” wheels on it.

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
The person who scabbed that thing together sure is impressed with himself. Not even a 4X4.

On the other hand, if he can soak someone out of 90K for it then hey, it's a free country.

I asked for more pictures of the underside. From what I can see it’s nothing more than a double cab Tundra with heavier leaf springs and hub adapters for 8 lug wheels. Unless there’s some sort of custom full float conversion kit on there, it’s just a standard Tundra axle with stock brakes. No frame modifications.

How about a pic of the door jamb? He's characterizing it as a unique OEM one-off. The door jamb will reflect whether it's a Toyota "one-ton" or not.

Someone please explain how you’re unable to exceed the GVWR by carrying a car on the flatbed?

Or does the GVWR magically increase to handle a larger payload by putting on more leaf springs and a dual wheel configuration?

So, correct me if I’m wrong, but is that a big standard tundra Open C channel frame with a 1ton axle and leaf springs presumably from a domestic.

Not even a 1 ton axle…that’s the original Tundra axle. Same shape pumpkin. And look at the shock mounts.

Good lord. I was really hoping for at least an AAM axle out back.

The only thing this truck is good for now that I seen the pictures is driving around with something unique.

I can’t imagine how bad that thing rebounds with stock shocks and that much spring rate. The other day I had ~1000lbs of brick in the bed and my bags at 50 PSI and it was reeeeally bouncy.

I guess so. You had me believing you thought the payload could be infinitely increased through some bizarre logic like the owner of that $90k rig.

So in addition to not increasing the axles, upgrading brakes, using the ½ frame,... you added 400lbs of "paint" to it?

    What a deal.:spending:
