My front bumper is what I consider to be pretty standard, upper paint matched, lower chrome. In doing some research for the 2020 Sequoia grille conversion, I started to look into the bumper on my truck. It seems there are two versions of the bumper. My version, and a version that has the chrome area also color matched. That part number is 521190C944.

So does this fit over the existing bumper? It can't simply fit over though, since the gaps to the fenders would be too tight, right?

Is the configuration of my bumper two separate parts, as in the upper color matched part and the lower chrome part? If that's the case, I'm having trouble finding the part number for the upper part.

I'll look and see what I can see in the morning, but the parts diagrams can get confusing.

Bit more info, this time from ebay. Putting in the part number for the bumper cover brought up an ebay seller whose ad states: Only For Limited & Rock Warrior Models. With Parking Assist Sensor Holes. Will Not Fit Models With Steel Chrome Front Bumper.

So apparently there are two different configurations. I wonder why that doesn't show up on Toyota parts? Maybe I missed putting in "Limited" or "Rock Warrior" ? I'll check that.

Ok, Amazon confirms that my bumper is two parts. Now to see what the part number is on the smaller upper part.

Found the upper part on Amazon but still can't find a cross reference at the Toyota parts page. Will call today and find out.

More info on the Rock Warrior full face painted cap bumper. It's not a direct swap and lots of parts have to be bought. Check this thread and post #6. https://www.tundras.com/threads/gen-2-rock-warrior-bumpers.7170/

The limited trucks had paint matched bumpers.

If you throw away the entire rear bumper and put something aftermarket on, it will modernize your truck.
