I'm looking at purchasing a set of front strut assemblies for my 2007 Tundra from someone who's parting out a 2018 Tundra. They claim that they're interchangeable from 2007 - 2018, but when I look on Toyotapartsdeal.com those model years show different part numbers. They appear to have the same number of coils in the spring and the mounting appears identical, but I'm not sure what Toyota engineers may have done to make them different during that model year.

Anybody have any experience or knowledge of this?

I like the idea of using Tundra OE parts, and an 2018 strut will ride better than my 2007, so that's my reasoning for going down this path. Plus, I'm on a budget so the used assembly fits my current spending allotment.

I’d guess different spring rates for different cabs/weights but I’d also be willing to bet the differences will be negligible.

No difference in height between any of them either?

You did not provide any specs for the donor vehicle past MY, and you are buying used parts..

If the used part gamble is where you are at, maybe you dont get to be picky about suspension height.?
