What's up everyone. Purchased a one owner 2010 Tundra CrewMax Platinum 4x4 with 158k miles at Ventura Toyota on July 4th 2021

I plan on keep this pretty mild compared to my Tacoma build...

Here is how it sits and will probably stay....

Glad to hear that. Just took the friends out to dinner in it and it was nothing but compliments and praise about the room it had inside. Very happy with the purchase.

Even though my boat isn't real big or real heavy, it was pretty nice towing with something that doesn't break a sweat going up steep hills to the lake.

Now that I got a bigger truck, I need a bigger boat.

What I also didn't consider was the fact I cannot see the trailer at all when I'm backing down the ramp. Fun times at 6am :bananadead:

I like that logic: can't see my boat while towing because my truck got bigger, guess the boat has to get bigger too.

    Sold my Tacoma finally.

Decided to put some of that cash towards some cheaper things on my list of to-do..

Have color matched mirror caps coming along with new exterior window weather stripping for all four doors. Mine have all fallen apart.

EDIT: Decided to compliment the interior LEDs with some vanity (Amazon), door, and XB LED mirror lights from headlight revolution.

Got just the headlights installed this evening after work. Took exactly 1 hour to do the entire swap. Very easy and high quality parts. Morimoto fogs are getting installed tomorrow.

just waiting on my sequoia grille and all be I'll done with the front end "modernizing"

money is now officially tight soooooo.. nothing for now. i might throw a CB shim in there for 1" lift but i also might wait for wheels, tires, and a lift.

    Lift wise...

Been debating about 6112 Bilsteins at 1.9 lift with some 5160 rears for a solid level and bigger tires but ive also just considered going straight to coilovers, ucas, TC shackle, and some rear 2.5 shocks (like the above post) and some 35s but idk if i wanna go that deep. You know how it goes.. the rabbit hole starts at that point.

Ideally id like to fit 35s on a 2" front lift and stock rear height.

I just put some Coachbuilder shackles out back and the Wescott front kit on last week. I am on 295s with Coachbuilder bumper shims, not even close to rubbing.

You know you will want coilovers eventually, might as well wait and do it haha

only reason I didnt was to keep the PRO suspension which I am actually super impressed with

For the price it goes for your better off picking ip coilovers

Wescott sells basically a new spring perch that is taller than OEM, essentially adding a little bit of preload to the strut. Just from the bottom end since the shock body isnt threaded, obviously. Not sure how their applications work on OEM struts, I would imagine as long as the lower perch is removable they would have something that works.

The coilovers is probably what ill do TBH. Maybe this time next year when Ill need new tires.. Might as well get a lift, wheels, and then new tires right?

ahhhhhh okay. I see what you're saying now. Thanks for the clarification on that.

Finally got all the chrome I wanted off switched to color matched. Got my door handles and 2020 sequoia grille today. Next will be a lift, wheels, and tires. But for now, here is how it sits.

Install was super easy and straight forward. Directions for programming were simple too. I suggest this unit if you’re looking for a remote start.

They definitely didn't cheap out on anything. Everything was labeled, wires had plenty of room and wrap, the connectors were perfect and the instructions/videos were awesome.
