    Hi All

I have a 2012 Sequoia SR5 and I am replacing the radio with an aftermarket radio with screen (Boss 10.1inch) - and trying to add an oem backup camera (previously no camera)

I purchased an oem camera and put it in where there was a "dummy" version and was able to plug it into a connector in the hatch.

Now, at the radio side I am not sure if one of these connectors is for the backup camera, or if I need to find it near the mirror and find a way to rewire to the radio.

I have these 5 connectors - the 2 on the right power the speakers - the 20pin connector is for steering wheel controls. There remaining 2 clips are shown here - 12pin and 8pin connectors.

I've searched for connectors and all seem to be 16pin or 24pin - happy to wire myself too if a connector isn't available. I've tried the PAC RP4.1 TY11 module but it has a CAMTY11 and CAMTY12 but they look to be 16 and 24pin.

    Any thoughts and advice?

    Thanks

Figured it out - none of these work - had to tap into the wires on the drivers side lower wiring harness.

I’m attempting to do the exact same thing in my 2008 sequoia. I already put in the oem camera and connected into the harness on the rear lift gate. Could you tell me where these wires are on the driver side lower panel?

Hi - sure - if you take off the plastic panel down by the floor you can find a clip that has RED, GRAY, BLACK and WHITE wires. The RED goes to a white RCA, Black RCA to Gray - I can take a picture this weekend hopefully

Thank you for responding! I actually figured it out with a wire sounder that I borrowed from my friend and a volt meter. Finding the reverse signal was a lot trickier for me but got after some patience. For anyone else looking for that wire, it’s on the passenger side and it’s a thick green wire that connects from one harness to another. It’s in a harness with a bunch of other wires and it’s taped with that foam tape Toyota uses.
