AIP fail? Did you pull code(s)? Can clear codes to get out of limp mode temporarily if AIP fail, but it may likely come back. May be covered under 10 year, 60k PT warranty? If not look up Hewitt bypass for a solution (if it's an AIP fail). Search AIP fail on this forum and you will find codes and symptoms.

Yes I had local part shop run diagnostic an said that bank #1 or #2 air check valve was stuck open.. on the Hewitt bypass for you know if the traction control will still work also will the codes need to be cleared by parts store or should I take it to the factory..

Traction control should work fine it’s just those lights that come on as a code warning I believe. Call Hewitt or email they are very helpful. I installed my bypass proactively to make sure I didn’t end up in limp mode in the bush. I’m not sure if you have to clear the codes or if they go away after install of the bypass. I think you’ll want to clear them to get out of limp mode ASAP. If you are covered under the warranty on this the other option is to have Toyota replace the bad parts but it could happen again but should be good for a while. Google the coverage it’s 10 years and?? Miles for AIP fails I believe.

Leave the codes if you are going to take to dealer they need to see codes to fix it under warranty.

Damn. The AIP issue is like a batch of Gremlins. I just hit 91,000 on my 2013.

I bought the Second generation Hewitt bypass kit for my 2012 4.6 liter. Easy install. Installed it last month. Took about an hour. No problems since. The dealer wanted $3K to replace those pumps and valves that would probably only fail again, as mine had been replaced once before already. So I went with the second generation Hewitt kit.
