    hello folks,

New to the forum. Just recently picked up a 2013 tundra 4x4 base model. Looking into changing the wheels/tires to make it look slightly off roadish but keeping the height stock since Im not a tall person. Please advise on size/width/offset and best tires for minimal noise. Thanks in advance.

There is a section here with info as to what will fit. Welcome!
My 2013 had 275x70x18's Open country and made noise! 14 mpg
I also ran 275x60x20's Michelin hwy tires. Made no noise! 19mpg
I don't know what you have for rims but the 18" rims and tires are a much smoother ride. Also on this site is a market place with tires and rims to get ideas from. Just know you are limited to 33's with a stock ride like me.

Thanks for replying.. forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by "limited to 33's"?

Most people don't reply to posts such as this because they're tired of the same questions every week. That's why they created the link I inserted in the last post. I'm the new guy here also so it fell to me to get you started.

Welcome Jacko! As @Joe Dirt said, 18's will probably be a smoother ride and I think most of us would agree that more sidewall will give the tires a more aggressive look. Wheels are a pretty personal choice. Our wheels have a high offset (+60ish), so the lower you go in offset the farther they'll stick out. A +35 offset will give you a good look without getting too far outside of the wheel well. Lots of tires out there too. Michelins are always a good bet but have more of a street tire look. The LTX AT2 is a great tire. Nitto makes the Ridge Grappler in a 275/65/18 SL tire. Nice aggressive look and that size will keep the weight down, helping mpg's. Cooper AT3 4S's are also a good tire. Again, not the most aggressive look but a great performer on and off the road (I have great first hand experience with this tire). If you're willing to go up to a 275/70/18 (roughly 1" taller) you'll find a few more choices in aggressive looking tires. You would be going to an LT tire though which will be heavier, probably slightly louder on the road and slightly less fuel efficient.
    Hope this helps.

Thank you for responding. I will definitely look into the tires you suggested.
