For the past couple of weeks, I have been having issues where my battery gauge fluctuates and once where my truck didn't want to start. I suspected the alternator, tested it, and it looks like the diodes are failing. I recently moved to the Jacksonville area and at first, was going to take it to the dealership to have it fixed since I didn't feel like laying in the hot heat, but it seems like there are a lot of bad reviews here. I know you should take them with a grain of salt but I now decided to do this myself. There are multiple options for the 5.7 but from what I gather the 150-amp part number 27060-0S020 is the one I want. Is this correct? If so, I will have to cross-reference it with the Denso part from Advance.

I don't have anything extra hooked up to the truck but eventually will finish upgrading my JL system. I already upgraded the head unit and eventually plan on adding 2 amps and one of those JL stealth boxes. I'm thinking the 150-amp alternator should be efficient but wanted to hear thoughts from other owners.

    Thanks

    Judd
