Hello Tundra enthusiasts, I have a 2014 TRD SR5, stock height with 85k miles, and Im looking to replace my shocks and struts all around. However the majority of my searching for stock replacements with Bilstein 4600s show shocks only and do not have the front coil over assembly. Suspension Lifts, and a few other sites seem they dont sell the coil over assembly. Am I missing something? Ive read several threads on here and watched several videos, and those all mention not to remove the center nut on the coil over, which to me seems like thats the way to drop the front shock without the spring.

    Links for example:
    (1) - The Bilstein 4600 series is a significant handling upgrade or replacement of factory parts. One of our top recommendations for their dependability, let us know if we can answer anything specific to your vehicle. (shocksurplus.com)

So do I have to keep searching to find the right assembly? I already bought a kit from Amazon, but returned it once I realized it didnt come with coil overs. But seems like everywhere I shop they dont sell the assembly, only the shocks.

    Thanks for any advice.

You re use your stock springs unless you want lift springs

Do I need a special tool to compress that spring? Ive never dealt with a coil over before. Wondering if I can DIY or should I take it to a shop.

Take it to a shop. It's nothing to learn on.

Youtube how to use the truck to compress springs. Ive now done it 6-7 times on different changes at it works amazingly. When done properly i feel 100% safe, as the shock is holding the spring in the entire time.

    its really not bad

Find some takeoffs. Lots of people have some sitting in their garage.

    This! /\

I have some TRD off road take offs in my garage. 10k on them. Where you located @USCG2005 ?

Edit - they are free if you want them ( minus any shipping obviously).

Edit Edit - my take offs are shocks only. IEM springs were used in my Falcons.
