I just purchased a 2015 sequoia and took it to the dealership for an inspection. They noticed there was on oil leak from the timing cover. They fixed the timing cover gaskets, along with a water pump covered by a limited warranty. I brought it home and noticed this ticking / rattling noise at idle. Drove to dinner and the noise is still there. Did Toyota jack something up? Or is this normal? I listened to the engine before I took it to Toyota and I don’t remember hearing this.
