Aloha from NorCal!! So 2 weeks ago we came back from vaykay and found our house ransacked and our Tundra missing...got some of our valuables back but not the truck. So yesterday we found the same truck but its raised and has really large tires and wheels....so as a newbie, i need to know that I can take off the 35x12.50R20s off road AMP A/TA tires and 20x8J Fuel rims and put back stock 18" Tundra rims and have it work....possible?? I know we are kinda doing a reverse of what most Tundra peeps do...but we don't offroad and got the truck to pull a trailer to tour....so any help would be great!! look forward to being a part of this community!! cheers...

Welcome aboard from NW Oregon! Depending on how the previous owner did the lift, there might be considerable more changes to make in order to get back closer to stock. Post pictures and it’ll be easier to help

don't know that i need the truck back to stock...just want "stock tires/wheels" and hopefully it will ride smoother and lower the truck so i can get in it easier!! lol

sorry T-Rex, as a newbie, I don't know what the lift amount was....

From the pics, looks like OE front on spacers, probably just blocks (maybe extended shocks) on back, probably diff drop up front. My uneducated guess would be undo some bolts, remove some crap quality lift parts, bolt OE or upgraded aftermarket suspension parts back on, put your preferred wheels/tires on, get an alignment and enjoy the better ride.

Other more knowledgeable folks can chime in.
Removing the lift should cost no money other than getting an alignment unless the rear shocks need replaced to compensate for the lower ride. That is, if you do the work yourself. You can sponsor a wrench night, in which case beer/soda and pizza is often the cost.
Replacing the wheels/tires won't change the geometry, so if that's all you do, it shouldn't need an alignment if it isn't already out of spec. Alignment will only be needed when you remove the spacers up front.
So, if you just replace the wheel/tires, it'll just look funky and be higher than you want until you remove the lift.

Don't forget to take the bump stop extensions off also.
When you get a wheel off, post a couple pictures (face and side) of the spindles so the folks here can see if they are lift/gusseted spindles.

Take the lift out, buy stock takeoff wheels and stock size tires and sell what’s on it.

It looks like it may have a drop bracket lift. If so stick wheels and tires will fit, but they’ll look funky. If it has a drop bracket the frames been cut for the front drive shaft. Which means returning to stock will involve some welding
