2016 Paint Codes 202 vs 218

Had chrome when I first bought the truck, but switched to aftermarket buldge and surround to “match” my 218 paint. Not the OEM quality, so looking to upgrade to OEM Pro buldge and surround/grill. Other than you knowing, can the untrained eye tell the difference between 202 black and 218 attitude black? It’s a matter of $400-$500 difference. Thanks.

 

I believe the 218 has metallic in it. I would say it would be noticeable but I am picky.

 

It’s noticeable. 202 is straight black, as stated above no metallic. Not saying it would look bad, try it and see if YOU like the look. Could always have them painted 218 later

 

My 2017 Tundra is 202. I put 218 door handles on it. I can tell, but I’m looking for it. It’s not noticeable to anyone else, but the surround is more real estate and may be more apparent.
You could always swap the insert out with your 218 surround if it bothers you.
