I have a 2016 Toyota Tundra Crewmax with the 4WD low that will not stay engaged. The 4Hi works but 4low will not stay engaged. Has anyone had this type of an issue? Thank you

Need more info, miles on truck, how long have you had it and is it up to date on maintenance, fluid changes?

It is going into 4 low and then pops out or never really goes in 4lo? Any noise, grinding, popping or alerts/codes from the truck?

I bought it brand new in Sept. 16’. It has a 136K miles on it today. It’s been maintained to date except for the front & rear differential, transfer case & transmission oil being replaced, which is scheduled to be done next week.

It will go into 4 low and then pops out. Other than that, everything works well with no alerts or codes. No grinding or other noises present.

This is one of the actuator failure modes that I am looking to document in my other post.
