Goodmorning fellow Tundra owners. Newbie here, I Was hoping to have a question answered for me. I’m pulling out my hair over this one. Everywhere I read it states that the 16 Limited comes standard with the LED DRL’s, however, mine only has the orange drl’s. I checked under the hood at the fuses and relays and both are missing from specified locations. The relay housing is there but is missing the actual relay along with the 7.5amp fuse. Can someone please help me out and confirm if this Tundra has the LED’s and if I would have to simply just plug in the relay and fuse to get them to work. Any responses would greatly be appreciated!!

They were standard on Platinum and 1794 models only 14-17. They can be added in with a little rewiring and a set of headlights with the LED DRL strips at the bottom

Welcome to the forum. You could always get the new OEM ones from @Roman and a harness from @iHacker if you don't like the ones in your truck.

Thank you for your prompt replies. That’s why I’m glad I reached out in this forum. I called a few local dealerships and nobody can definitively tell me which trim had the LED’s for 2016. I managed to find a brochure online from 2016 and it clearly states in the breakdown of features that it was a standard option for the Limited. I’ve read articles about the different features from the different trim levels and it highlighted LED daytime running lights for the Limited. I trust what you guys tell me over a so called Toyota expert salesperson.

It also lists them as standard on the TRD Pro Crewmax, and that didn’t happen either in 16. Interesting is that in the promo pics for the 14 Tundra they show a Limited with the LED DRL’s but the truck clearly wasn’t wired for them because if it were they would be lit up with the parking/headlights onB816832C-9B53-45D4-8F5B-FE9E436A4E54.jpg4D9653BA-744A-4B2E-BB5D-94497272FFB7.jpg

Found a brochure online. No mention of the 2016 limited comes with LED DRLs or had options to get them. Is for platinum and 1794. Hope this helps.

all trims looks like the headlights have LEDs, but is probably just a place holder.

Only thing I can think of regarding the brochure showing it as standard option is the truckbuild date possibly?

At the end of the day, the truth is the brochure was/is wrong. LED DRL’s didn’t become standard on the Limited until 2018

I don't think the brochure was incorrect. It never stated the LEDs are in the limited or an option. I think everyone assumes that little edge area on the headlight are LEDs, but are in all the trims, all the way from basic SR trim. The housing is there for LEDs, but there is no actual LEDs installed unless is Platinum. I think it is to keep to one headlight housing design for all applications.

I’ve done a HID projector retrofit in my 16 Tundra so I can tell the difference between the two headlights. The ones pictured above on the silver limited are shown with the LED DRL’s

Your right! interesting, looks like a copy and paste error since it lists standard for both regular DRLs and LED DRLs, could not have both, but I see the confusion there.

Strange right! Also fun you google which trim level in 2016 had LEd’s This is what comes up:
    2016 Toyota TundraLimited Trim Features – $38,170
The Tundra Limited trimcomes complete with standard LED daytime running lights, 20-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, opulent leather interior, heated front seats and Toyota Entune Premium Audio with Integrated Navigation and App Suite.May 24, 2016

So weird! Anyhow I know the truck doesn’t come equipped with them. I wonder why all the literature suggests otherwise lol

If you check the ebrochures on buyatoyota.com it doesn’t list them, also they have fewer pages than the brochure the OP posted
