I have a 2016 Tundra SR5 that suddenly stopped starting. It will click one time and then do nothing else. I did a lot of research and put too much money into it. I replaced the battery, tested the starter relay, replaced the starter, and even replaced the ECU. Nothing helped. I have tried to start it in neutral to see if it is the immobilizer, but no luck.
What are my next steps? What do I need to look at?

HAve ou put a code reader on it? If you have tested the battery(some can be faulty even if new) then I would look through both fuse boxes.

Just a shot in the dark here, but did you load test your new battery to confirm you didn't get a bad one? Also check the ground cables especially the one from the Neg terminal to the body. Good luck.

Did you voltage drop test the power and ground sides? At each connection/termination.

I have not tested the battery, but I will do that. I will also check the grounds. I have been through the fuse box already. I also put a code reader on it when I had the old ecu on and it gave me a bunch of codes that weren't there before like the camshaft sensor, but after reading about ECU's, I heard that they can throw codes if they are going bad because they aren't able to monitor systems correctly. Clearly replacing the ECU was not the answer in my case.
I have not checked voltage drop. What is the best method to do that?

This video is one of my favorites explaining a voltage drop test on a starter circuit. I think it's 23 minutes long, but it is worth the watch.

Is your tilt/telescoping feature manual or electric?

Are talking about my steering wheel? If so, it is manual.

Yes. So, unlock it. And move it in and out as well as up and down. Until it turns on.. then lock it in place. I'm having a similar issue, and this worked for me and hasn't left me stranded in 2 months.

Edit forgot to mention, turn the key while moving it around.

If my truck doesn't crank, will this still work? It does do a click and holds on for about 2 seconds then releases. I guess I can try it and see what happens.

I think is the code wire. Immobilizer losing connection with the transponder. A theory that's yet to be verified. At the time neither spare nor master key worked until 30 minutes later.

This worked! I can't believe that works. Now to figure out what causes it.

I haven't had the time to pull the entire dashboard out. I know the harness dips from the steering column and goes up and joins the spider behind the dash, but since it works, I'm not messing with it in the meantime. I've already replaced the ignition switch and it was still doing it. Wiring appears to be the issue.

Ok, I tried again today and the truck is back to doing the same thing as it did before. Moving the steering wheel isn't helping at all. It just clicks once and holds it a little then releases. I guess I will be checking other stuff.

You may havr a starter issue, as in the plug.
