Whenever my radio is in delayed playback, ie I get a phone call and the radio pauses, upon playback there are random loud pops or cracks that come through the speakers. It stops when I go back in to live play.

I've had it in to Toyota now 3 times.
First two times they said they couldn't replicate it. 3rd time I brought in a video montage of the popping happening and had a tech ride along with me until he witnessed it.

Anyone else experience this issue and/or have a fix?

I'm still waiting on a "specialist" to get back to me.

You'll eventually come to conclusion that the JBL radio is a POS. There is no fix that is 100% besides removal and aftermarket replacement. I had a case opened with video of my anomalies that could not be explained or justified.
The thing has a mind of its own and nothing can change that. They replaced the radio and amplifier with no avail and the problems returned. They were baffled and had no fix other than to keep replacing shit. I said I was not going to have my dash pulled apart every week so they could guess at what was causing it. I worked out a compensation with the dealership and I moved to aftermarket. Toyota wasn't going to do anything but "keep replacing shit" and they offered no compensation because it wasn't a safety issue. I told them when I drive off the road because my F'N radio is driving insane and I can't get the F'N thing to work while driving... That's safe right?
Bottom line: The electronics in these trucks is pathetic. Hopefully you have better luck with than I did, because my "specialist" wasn't very special.

Thanks. They want to start by replacing the amp... We'll see how it goes. How did you work out the compensation? In California, there is a lemon law. Seems like if they try to repair an item within warranty 4 times, then you may be eligible for a replacement vehicle.

I have a great dealership and they were willing to work with me so we both weren't wasting time. I'm a bit ocd and flat out refused any further "replacing" and just asked "what can we do to move on" I had plans to go aftermarket 30 seconds after I first listened to the so called "premium" audio system, so I wasn't going to force the fix issue when the first attempts failed. Corporate will just laugh if you are claiming a lemon radio... Again not a safety issue so you have really no recourse. If your radio works but has issues, the issues are yours. They are not going to replace your truck because of a popping radio after you hang up the phone. Again, I hope you do get a fix without too much trouble or wasted time.
