    If you plan to tow daily, diesel, no question. If mostly unloaded, commuter. Get the Tundra if you really want a truck.

    Yeah these aren't apples to apples.

    Each truck is good at certain things and bad at others. I wouldn't want to trail run the chevy through moab but I also wouldn't want to pull a 15000lbs trailer with a tundra.

    As someone who towed almost daily, to once a week or so, there's no need to get a diesel. Especially if you aren't doing long trips to keep the engine healthy, at a minimum. You will be much happier going with a reliable gasser than a diesel platform.
