I thought the titan looked worse. The airbags in the tundra came out much quicker after impact.

I thought the very same thing. The Titan’s backsides compressed much more than the Tundra’s. Also, I could not tell the differences in sustained injuries of the crash test dummies. They all moved around in the cab the same way to me.

I don't buy a truck based on how safe it is. If it's your time to go, you're gonna go, doesn't make a damn what you drive.

True. But, I’m not the only one that drives or ride in my Tundra. My wife and kids uses the truck a whole lot. I do believe that my Tundra is just as safe as any other truck out there. In fact, all the upgrades that I have done to my bumpers and brakes, have made my Tundra far more safer than stock. I’ll continue to buy Tundras regardless.

Gotta give Ford credit for building one heck of a strong body from aluminium, impressive results. Hope Toyota follows suit with next release.

Yup!!! I can understand the effort that Ford has made in building their F150s. After all, it’s the backbone of the company and their only lifeline. If Toyota was only making pickup trucks, then it would be a much different thing for the Tundra and Tacoma.

My wife and kids ride in my tundra a good bit as well. This is my 2014 tundra, I know it's not a hard frontal crash, but still a hard hit. I was fine other than a little soreness. I no longer have that truck, traded for a new 2017.

Thank goodness that you’re ok. I believe that when it’s your time, it’s your time no matter what. I’ll take my chances with my Tundra.

F-150 did so well because it deflected away from the barrier, reducing the forces greatly. You can see on most the hood and fender cave in allowing impact directly to the firewall.

My strategy is to not have a head on collision

I try to avoid head on collisions even when I’m driving a M1 Abrams tank.
