Can anyone tell me where the fog light fuse or relay is?? I sent my Baja Design SAE fog lights in for the upgrade and when I checked them today to see if they worked only one was on. After turning the switch on and off a few times, now both don't work. I pulled them out and put the stock ones in to see if they worked, and they didn't work either. Truck was parked and running with headlights on and brights off. I figured if both don't work, maybe a fuse?? Unless I'm missing something. Thanks for any help.

Relay is under the hood and the fuse in driver's side kick panel; specific fuse and relay location should be illustrated on the panel's cover

Hey @RetiredTundraBC, Check the connectors. I had a customer have the same issue recently and the fog light connectors were not making a good connection and had grime due to being exposed to the elements while the SAE was getting upgraded.

I will check that too. When I sent my BD's out, I put my stock fog lights back in to avoid any issues to the connections. Thanks Brandon.

So I sprayed everything with an electrical cleaner, no difference. Found the fog fuse. It's in the fuse box under the hood. It was blown. Replaced that and one light came on the other didn't. After some different experiments, it's the Baja Design adapter to go from the stock fog to theirs. Gonna try to replace the end with the extras they give you in the box, once I figure out how to pull it apart. Hopefully that works or I will need to get a new set of adapters. I was able to get both lights to work with the adapter that was good, so hopefully this solves the issue.

Did you bend the pins in the adapter? Might have damaged them when putting it all back together.

Nope. I just figured it out. I believe when the lights where upgraded the wires, Black and White, coming from the light were swapped in there position in the connector. The blacks have to line up in the adapter and they do not now. So I need to pull the adapter clip apart and swap the wires. I accidentally pulled the black wire out from the back of the light connector, ugh, gotta try and fix that now too.

Can you send a photo of the issue that you are having? The connectors will have barbs that will need to be flattened in order to pull the pins out of the connectors.

So that's exactly what happened. The wires where swapped from where I originally had them, so they didn't match the adapter harness from before the upgrade. They work now!!

    Brandon,

Thanks. I had extra connectors for the harness adapter, and was able to replace the one that pulled apart. Hopefully that end is good. I'm more worried about the connector on the light. As I was messing with stuff, trying to figure this out, I pulled one of the wires out of that connector. I was able to pull the orange rubber boot out and get the wire back into the end of the pin. I used a small screw driver to pinch back down on the wire to make a connection. I got the rubber seal back in and snapped it back together. It's working right now, but I hope it holds.

If for any reason it does not you can always send it in under warranty and we can re-crimp the pins back on the wiring.

Awesome, Thank you. And thanks for doing the SAE Upgrade program. That was really awesome of Baja Designs to do that. I dropped mine off on June 1st, was told potentially 8-10 weeks to get them back, got them in 4 weeks!!!

Anytime you have LED lights you need the proper polarity to make them work. LED's only pass current in one direction.

I know. I didn't notice they swapped the wires when they did the upgrade until it was too late.
