Here she is! My new 2020 quicksand Tundra. Gotta be my favorite color right behind lunar rock. First truck with a camper shell and I love it so far! Not sure how the camper will do off-road because i got my accutune custom fox 2.5’s in the mail that will be put to the test in the desert. Never ran a shell before so not sure how it’ll handle the whoops and small jumps. Anyone have experience with high speed/prerunning with a shell? Thanks y’all!

Great looking rig. Are the bumpers and grill painted or vinyl wrapped? I am getting mine vinyl wrapped in satin black this week.

I would say, be more cautious with the shells as your bed will flex and what not. Make sure everything is tighten down.

Most pre-runner builds I've seen wouldn't really run any sort of shell aside from a GFC.

Have fun and take it easy. Yeah, you'll have some Accutunes, but that doesn't mean you'll be jumping whoops that are any more than a few inches. That's why LT costs a fortune.

    Welcome from NorCal!
Hopefully you’ve got more suspension mods than just shocks to do the fast stuff. The extra weight the camper provides is actually a good thing to keep the rear down.

The bumpers are wrapped. Not the best wrap job. I might be taking the wrap off and buying color matched stuff

I’ve got leaf’s and bump stops coming as well. I’m just worried about the shell moving around to much and scuffing up the edges of the bed

I would love a GFC and that might be in the works later down the road. And you’d be surprised what a tuned mid travel tundra could do. This is my second one. With the proper tuning and setup you can outrun raptors all day long and twice on Sunday’s!

It will. Make sure its bolted down good to the rails. Last time mine shifted back 1 to 2 inches. Caught it on time and pushed it back and re-clamped.
Shell is very convenient for traveling though.
Tape the top of the bed with some clear 3M wrap to protect from scuffing.

Yes I’ve heard you have to be on top of tightening up those clamps as often as possible!

Looks killer, sometimes when I see a quicksand I wish I’d have held out for that color.

Looks good! I think I'm going to leave the bumper caps wrapped black but try and find some paint matched grill surrounds. I think the black wrap ties in better with your color than quicksand...
