Looking at installing this Grill to my 2021 Limited. https://parts.conicellitoyotaofconshohocken.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-531000c260b2

Correct me if I am wrong, but I have a couple options.
    1. Swap my limited insert and TSS Sensor over to the color matched surround
    2. Install a TSS relocation bracket and keep the new grill as is.

AJT has a new design out for their relocation bracket.
Has anyone used this new bracket and has it worked well?
Do I have any other options?

That grill is the older version of the TRD Pro grille, before TSS. It is not equipped to run the TSS/sensors, no mounting for that, so you will have to figure that out, if it is possible and if it will work. I am not sure how TSS could be mounted on that, even with a bracket and be functional. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I have not seen it done before or seen any threads about it here on Tundras.

But you could swap your grille with TSS and all into that color matched surround. Or, get the color matched 2019+ TRD pro grille and everything will swap, you will need a new sensor cover I believe.

I thought the AJT relocation bracket moved the sensor behind the grill. Am I not correct?

Thanks, I read that too, but wasn’t sure how the new bracket design was working for people.

I was looking at doing the same thing, the old style pro grille, but everything I read on the ajt bracket was seriously disappointing. Way too many problems/issues with it.

So I did buy the old style pro grille just for the color matched surround. Sold the old style pro grille, and dipped part/s of my stock limited grille.

This guaranteed no tss issues. Plus I like the stock grille especially now without all the shiny stuff/parts.

Also dipped the center part of the plastic bottom piece.

I saw your build progress post and liked this idea as well. I’m not opposed to keeping the limited grille, but just wanted to confirm my options.

It seemed for me to be the least expensive way of get’n a look I really liked. Plus doing everything myself was even more rewarding.

It was a fairly simple mod, and since I had the stock grille out I figured I’d remove the bottom plastic piece just to make easier to spray the bumper end caps. So while I had that piece removed I figured it would look nice to have the center part match the end caps.

I did end up selling the old pro grille, plus the chrome surround and chrome hood bulge. Took awhile on Craigslist, especially dealing with all the nut jobs……seems like 9 out of 10 responses were from crazies. :) But everything eventually sold!

How are your dipped parts holding up?

    Great……so far so good.

After I put 5-6 coats of dip I then sprayed 3-4 coats of rust oleum clear matte enamel. Just to give it that extra strength/protection.

Since I had plenty of dip leftover I did all the badges, door handles/exterior, the stainless steps, bumper caps, wheel logos, plus a bunch of stuff inside!

Thanks for all the help!! I took advantage of the South East sale and bought a 17 Pro Cement grill and bulge as well as some maintenance items.
Hopefully everything gets to Pa. without being damaged and the color matches very close. I plan to swap my limited insert over like normagene did. Not sure if I will leave the insert as is or dip it.

What kind of paint did you use for the factory tow hooks?

Parts came in and swapped parts in less than an hour. Very happy with the results.

Looks Great. The tow hooks color goes really nice with it.
