2021 Toyota Sequoia Platinum Grill SWAP to TRD Pro Grill

Just trying to CONFIRM that these grills are indeed swappable. The wife's Sequoia is Blizzard Pearl so since that's not an option on the TRD Pro Grill thinking of getting it in white and having the white painted to BP to match.

This will be the 1st mod other than WT Floor liners and 3D MAXpider Cargo Mat.

Yes, they will fit all Sequoia's from 2008-2022.

Also, not sure if you already have the WT's, but consider the 3D MAXpider floor mats as well, I like them way more than the WeatherTechs.

Do you happen to know if I'll need the top hood bulge for the 2021 Platinum or just the trd pro grill? I'm confused if the top buldge was for all 2nd gen or just the earlier year 2nd gen?

Yes you’ll need the bulge.

The hard part now is getting the grill itself. Most dealers make you prove you own a TRD Pro Sequoia with a VIN verification. The last I heard, OlatheToyota.com in Kansas will get it without without VIN verification. But I just recently heard they can’t get them in for months out. You’re gonna have to do some work to find one.

Sounds like I've got my work cut out for me.

 

If you are having trouble getting one from the dealership you can get knockoffs off of e-bay . I got one for around $300 , it has the hood bulge & led lights , after painting ,looks just as good as the factory one …

Olathe Toyota informed me today that my order from October 2023 of the TRD Pro Grill is canceled.

 

UGH!!!! So if you have Facebook, there is a group called Toyota Sequoia 2nd Generation. There is a member on there, Matt Gee, he sells headlights and grills made by Umnitza (China) that are an exact copy of the TRD Pro grill. A lot of members have them. He can even have it painted for you at an additional cost. If you are not on FB I could contact him and either get his contact info for you or have him contact you. Let me know.

I talked to Matt and he gave me this link to send you. I just found out today that he is the owner of Umnitza.
He told me it's an extra $299 to have it painted.
