2021 TRD Pro Best Color Choice

My buddy and coworker is looking at buying a 2021 TRD Pro. He's hell bent on MGM but not opposed to Lunar Rock. Interesting enough there's obviously more MGM but quite a few LRs out there. He's looking to spend $50k and get one with ~50k miles. So far there are a few with the 50k range for mid to low 50s and then 25-30k range for mid to high 50s. Question for this avid tundra fan base is which do you choose?

My vote is Lunar Rock and 25-30k miles. Hes leaning toward a lower priced MGM Pro with 52k miles for $51k.

Curious what y'all would choose? Also not ideal to get one in Northeast with salt on roads but these trucks are all only 1 year old.

MGM is nice but LR I think is awesome and a limited color so higher resale

 

I like MGM better personally. I like the look of LR, it's a great color, just not my taste.

Buy a good truck & paint it any color you want.

Lunar rock is worth it. It retains value and looks awesome on the gen2

 

I choose LunaRock because I own one. Not many around.

 

Alot of people mistaken in this thread. Super white is not only the best and coolest color, it also happens to be the fastest.

 

MGM. Lunar is a fad color, and I don't mean that in a bad way but it does date the truck.

 

It’s ok to be a fad color. But I would just take a dollar everytime i get a complement wherever I go and stop someplace. Lol.

 

What a subjective topic! We all have our personal taste. But since you asked...IMO the best color for TRD Pro is Army Green. Just looks tough. Lunar Rock is the exact opposite. Doesn't look tough at all. When I first saw that color, I immediately flashed back to a the mid-2000's. Honda had a very similar color for the Element. Not a tough vehicle. Not a tough color. When I was driving with my wife, we pulled up next to a Lunar Rock Pro. I told my wife that color was all the rage...she chuckled and wondered why big tough guys would drive a pastel truck. But just like when Costco puts the asterisk on the price sign, call it a limited color and everybody wants it. Frankly I would have to pay less if I had to settle for a Lunar Rock.

I liked Lunar Rock before every manufacturer under the sun started putting flat greys on every modern shitbox econocar. It makes my Cement feel less special -_-

 

I know it sucks. But your cement and our LunaRock are hard colors to find. My 2020 4runner pro was army green. I will take my LunaRock color over AG any day. After owning both. I have had offers on my 21 pro way more than I had paid. Also my pro only has 14,000 miles on it. That’s because I have other cars to drive.

 

MGM but I’d rather a 19 Voodoo.

Cement here too. Liked it so much, painted the inside of my house the same color. Garage too lol.

 

Not for 21 but I was always a fan of the Inferno on the 14 Pro.

 

Inferno is my second choice. LOVE that color

 

My opinion is that color is 100% a personal opinion.

and my opinion is I like any color that is not white, black, or gray/silver

not that it is ugly.. but nearly every car on the road is white/black/gray

I love lunar rock.

 

Hard to beat white for looking clean the longest, not seeing dents, etc.

easily the best in that regard. Does not show chips. Even when dirty looks halfway decent. Great color for a truck. Only thing that competes in that regard is silver.

 

I would go with the LR. This makes it even more exclusive since they repeated the other Pro colors the next year for other trims. It is available on the 3rd gens but no one is going to mistake it for a 2.5 gen.

 

MGM is on every vehicle Toyota makes. It's like gold back in the late 1990s. Look at any 1998-2005 toyota and it's probably gold.

Go with Lunar Rock. Be different.

 

Army green vs Quicksand ... love the 'earthy' colors.

 

My wife had a 98 Avalon as her first car. Sold it was 250k and running strong. Guess what color it was...

 

I vote Lunar Rock. MGM is a great color, but I’m always lost when walking out to the parking lot and like having something that stands out!
