    Hey everyone.

My 2021 Tundra TRD Pro rigid fog light is loose and pushes in sometimes. I just got the truck back from a body shop (hit a deer) and I noticed it. They did a great job on everything and I can't remember if it was an issue before the deer collision and fix or not. I'm just not sure if it's something I should contact the body shop about or maybe mention to the dealer when I'm there for service next. The shop did replace the plastic housing around the fog light but not the fog light itself.

This isn't the entire housing that's loose, it's the fog light itself. It wobbles up and down, and if I push on the right side of the light, it pushes in. The left side of the light seems fine and sturdy.

It’s a pretty common issue with plastic front end caps. Get under the truck with some zip ties. You can tie them to the inside of the bumper to keep them from falling out or bouncing around as you drive down the road.

Pull up to your garage door when you do it because when you tighten the zip ties, you will probably mess up their aim a bit. One will be pointed a little higher than the other. Just get back under the truck and make adjustments until they’re shining level on the door.

Were you able to do it without taking the fender liner off?

I had to pull mine off but its a pretty quick fix. As mentioned above try to get them aimed right before you tighten everything down. I have one that's a little tilted after. Need to fix it at some point.

Thanks, I'll probably mess with this at some point. I have a service appointment at the dealership for my 15k mile check-up so I'll just mention it to them too. I've read on here that they usually don't acknowledge or fix the problem, but worth a try.

If the dealer doesn't fix it, follow this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-AtzjszTNQ. Just be careful of pulling the front inside fender off the bracket, its a little brittle. Mine broke off and had to buy that bracket at the dealership.

Thanks! I did come across that but was going to wait to see what the dealer says. I'll definitely do this if the dealer doesn't have any ideas

I had to perform this mod back when I bought my truck. Shame on Toyota; This truck is not cheap; The RIGID lights are not cheap. The engineers that designed the mounts need their asses kicked. It's BS that you have to crawl under your $60K truck with F***ing zip ties to fix these lights from bouncing around. Now days you DO NOT get what you pay for. Nothing is built to last anymore.

It isn’t a problem on the chrome end caps. Anyone want to buy my old ones? :D

I did this without removing front wheels due to sheer laziness.... I am fairly thick and had a super hard time squeezing my body in-between the wheel and wheel well. I suggest you take the wheels off it wouldhave been much easier. Also I used about 10 zip ties per fog light. That shit ain't moving. Sorry no pictures.i was so done with it that I refused to have any photos to remind me of how much it sucked.

So it turns out the front fog light is broken and insurance didn't notice so they just re-used the broken one. It should have been completely replaced, but the body shop reused the broken one -- not their fault, insurance fucked up.

When you say loose, does the entire housing move (the bulb and the plastic bezel)? Or just LED itself?

You need to go around it with zip some ties. Mine used to do that also.

Not the person you replied to, but I'd think you have to. Just be extra careful with the little 'clips' that hold the liner to the housing. They snap super easy!

Thanks man. I might give it a try this weekend. It is annoying driving at night and the fog lights bouncing all over the place.

Yes, you have to take of the wheel liner. Look at the youtube video I posted above in post #6 and be careful of the clips mentioned by PomDad. I'd get a flat head screwdriver and gently slid it under the clip to pop it off the bumper then pull to the side to remove the liner slowly. Don't yank it off like he did the video, I've broke mine and it was a $30 piece.

There is some unbolting and flap removal involved. The youtube video above is perfect for you to follow along. The task is super simple and you'll be done in 10 minutes and be much happier driving down the road at night.
