    Hello folks...

I've had my eye on Tundra TRD Pros for nearly two years now, but when the opportunities to buy at my local dealer would come up, I just never pulled the trigger. Over the last several months, I've been anxiously awaiting the announcement/arrival of the 2022... but most of the discussion pretty much agrees that it will be almost 2023 before they are readily available (with Pros or hybrids perhaps being even further out).

My local dealer just informed me that while they have no Pros, they do have, on the lot, a 2021 Tundra CrewMax Cab SR5 with the Spray-in Bedliner, TRD Sport Convenience Package, SR5 Upgrade Package, and Deck Rail System. They said it's currently "discounted" and would put me at about $44k.

I know it's not a Pro, but as scarce as these trucks seem to be right now, should I grab it? Would you? It's Mag. Grey Metallic.

    Thanks!

Do you like the color and the features? How is the Pro important to you? Does it have specific features you like that you can't upgrade an SR5 later? Only you can decide what's right for you, but it's not like you're getting an infinitely better truck with the Pro.

Yeah, that's a really good price for right now - I paid about that for an SR5 without any TRD packages. Then again, if you're not going to be happy with it, buy once cry once?

Getting a SR5, you will be saving 5-10K right off the bat. Can easily build a better truck for less $ using the SR5 as your base vs buying a Pro and then doing any mods.

If you want a V8, I would get in now and that seems like a pretty good price. Ived seen 3 year old used trucks with 40k miles going for over 40k.

If you like it ,buy it & build into what you want. It will be cheaper & better parts.

Man, I really appreciate all of this quick feedback... but just realized it has cloth seats. Was really hoping for leather, dang it.

Have a sport, can confirm its worth it. Its based off the SR5 trim so you do lose the sunroof, heated leather seats, the JBL system, and the PRO coilover suspension, but that is about it. Also considering that your paying 44k for a truck that normally sells for 48 or more makes that worth it, factor in your not going to get a PRO for under sticker, your saving 11k. For 11k you can make that sport a much better truck then a PRO, that is just my 2 cents...

You do realize that your not going to get a pro for for less than 55K, is it really worth paying 11K for fake leather seats and the PRO suspension. You can always ask the dealer to add Katskins to the truck with heated seats, the katsins are of better quality than the "leather" that comes in the PRO and limited.

I was only leather for the last 10 years....until I tried the cloth Tundra seats again and now I won’t go back to leather...especially in Vegas.
To me, the Tundra cloth seats are way better

As many have stated, this is a pretty good deal with those specs. I'd buy it and just upgrade everything yourself exactly to your liking! Good luck!

That’s a good deal...I would jump on that. If of course you like the truck OP.

Damn good question.... and I left to check out the truck in such a hurry that I didn't find out until I got there.

    4x2. I passed.

But it sure was a beauty.
    <sigh>

That's why it was so cheap, makes sense. The dealers around here are only discounting the 2-wheel drives.
