BajaKits LT w/ Glass Front and Rear on Kings with 37s
    Hello Everyone!

Just joined the group and there is a lot of great information here. I was searching and I dont think I have seen anyone that has this kit yet on their 22+ Tundra.

I ordered mine back in August and its finally starting to arrive. Im still waiting on the main portion of the kit and the King shocks I had them custom anodized so it took a little longer. But the Fiberglass is here and the trailing arms etc.

I included a parts of everything that was ordered below if you are curious. If you have any questions about the ordering process and my experience please PM me I dont mind sharing the details!

I am currently trying to decide on a tire to run. This truck is a toy and will mostly be used to hit some of the power line trails around me and I will be taking it out to CA for a couple weeks next year. I lived in CA for a while but never had the funds to do a LT build. This is not a DD truck.

Here is the rim I am going to use: Method Race Wheels 105 Beadlock, 17x9 with 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Black - MR10579060538B

I am trying to determine a good tire to run for this setup. Anyone have any thoughts? Also if there is anyone with this kit already please let me know!

    Thanks all.

Looks like a great list of parts, but I don’t see bypasses in there. One of the key advantages of an LT build is tuning the suspension. You did mention that it’s not a DD, so will you just tune the shocks for whatever type of off road driving you do?

For the wheels and tires, have you run beadlocks before? I’m one of a relatively small handful of people running true beadlocks on the Tundra, and I warn folks it’s a maintenance and tire choosing exercise not to be taken on just because they look cool.

You need to check with Method to see what tires they cut the bead depth to work with. Different brands have different bead bundle thicknesses. Our Methods were modified by OMF to become beadlocks (Method didn’t make beadlocks yet when we did ours) and they cut the bead thickness narrow specifically to fit Toyo tires. If I want to change tire brands I need to do the math to figure out the bead bundle thickness difference and get the correct amount of spacers for a thicker bead bundle.

Proper maintenance on a beadlock is a bit intensive at first, and mounting the tires correctly takes a lot of patience. Then you have to retorque them often which means airing them down to 0psi with no weight on them (I take them off the truck and lay them on their backs on the garage floor) and torquing each bolt in a star pattern. Then air them up and remount them on the truck. That’s after the first 100 miles and then every 500 miles for the first few thousand. After about 3,000 miles and 6-7 retorques I skip to every 2,000 miles or after every hard dirt session. You also need to replace the bolts with every new set of tires.

I don’t know what kind of wheeling you do, so they may be perfect for you, or you may already know all this if you've run them before. Or I may have just saved you an unnecessary headache and you can pick non-beadlock wheels.

Honestly, this is great information. I’m sure a lot of people wanting true beadlocks do not consider this. (Not directed at OP)

Congrats on the LT setup. Sounds identical to the setup used on a featured 3rd gen by 88 Rotors on Youtube.

I ran a BK LT kit on my FJ Cruiser a few years ago and didn't like it for various reasons, so I switched to Total Chaos. If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I'd run neither of the two. The Tundra kit looks better though. Looking forward to some reviews on this kit and any other LT kits that make it to market.
