2022 Limited Chrome Handle Delete and Replacement

Got busying today swapping handles out. I couldn’t find any info for the 2022’s so I made a simple video to help. Thanks @Roman for the help with the handles

Thanks for the video. Looks like a major hassle for something that should be a factory option. Are those stock speakers with the orange accents?

 

Yeah they are apart of the JBL system. I haven’t changed them

Right. I changed my 2008 DC handles from black to color match all from the outside. 5 minute job.

 

Yeah I unscrewed the torx at the end of the front door originally (like you would do previously) and it screwed it up, was hoping for something a little like your model for ease. But by the 4th door I was a pro…when it didn’t matter anymore

 

I thought I saw someone else post that the handle kit was only the caps for the handles? And you just popped off the chrome part and replaced it

 

Nope. They are all one unit, I thought the same but they don’t pop apart and aren’t sold that way

 

Wow I won’t be doing all that lol won’t someone just make black covers that could stick over the handles? Kind of like the Toyota emblem black out kits. That would be great

 

Oh come on…nothing gets the heart ticking like snaps popping on your door panels!

 

1. Do the handles come color match from Toyota?
2. how much is each handle
3. can you include a part number

 

Good job on the video PapaDave, that is exactly how I did mine.

 

So I looked again at my chrome handles and there might be a way to pop off the chrome cap, however you still have to take the door handle off completely to get to it. And the snaps don’t look like they are meant to be taken on and off, more like one snap together and that’s it. The plastic is a different type than the door trim pieces in terms of durability.

 

Great video, will be using it for my swap as well. Just for confirmation.... I have a Limited Crewmax in blueprint and have wanted to change the chrome as well. When I went to sparksparts it says their door handles "do not fit the limited" but that is how you made the swap correct? Also, have you seen anything out to replace the chrome trim around the windows and the tailgate handle yet? If you have made a video on that I have missed it... I was able to find the rear bumper panel and front grill surround kit on sparks but yet again it says they "do not fit the limited". I guess I am just questioning that and wonder if you have ran into that same situation or if you have found solutions? (and just to be clear I have checked and double checked that my vehicle information is entered correctly) Thanks for any advice!
