    Hi Everyone,

Has anyone found a way to get more base from the JBL subwoofer? Seems to me most of the bass is coming from the front door speakers......

    TIA!

It needs a 12V+ to be provided, and splice into the OEM subwoofer's signal/audio wires.

If it is like 2.5 gen jbl, these were options in order from least impact to most impact as best i remember.

    1. Better box for factory sub.
    2. Better box plus better sub wired to factory sub leads. I forget if it runs 2 ohm or 4 ohm.
    3. Replace sub with powered sub. Must run new power wire from battery. Connect trigger wire to signal from factory amp.
    4. New sub, box, and new amp.

Based on the model number above the white cable, it's the 10".

Curious as well. I’m okay with door speakers but wish there was a somewhat easy option for factory sub.

I guess I have missed this in the past.

What’s the thought around this option?

Nothing earth shattering, but it gives enough bass to make the system feel more balanced and sound "proper. (for what the rest of it is)"

Audison APBX10. They make a passive one and a powered one. If you went with the powered one you could just run the factory sub wires to it. Even comes with a remote.

Here's mine underneath the center seat. Just cut out the middle of the storage tray.

Infinity (Harman) mini powered sub under passenger seat. Access tad involved but fits well once there. Volume knob, put wherever you want.

How does it sound? Did you have to remove the seat or were you able to wedge it underneath?

Good sound, small size, happy with it. Easier to secure in place with seat removed though it can be wired without doing so. Make sure to disconnect battery before disconnecting and removing seats.

For those with non-JBL systems (no sub wires) the unit has ample power to connect to rear wire pairs and still sound meaty even though the signal from rear wire set is weaker than fronts by toyota. I personally went this way since i have more aftermarket speakers drawing off the front than I do the rear, so i ran the sub off the rear to balance. I also have a separate four channel Kicker amp to power all doors/dash speakers. The subwoofer itself already has its own internal amp.

Ryan any news on this? nothing is showing on website.

Im the type to wait till something comes out thats the right option for myself versus just throwing something in there. I would rather have a true dedicated box built for the hybrid where i can replace the junk factory one with dedicated amplifier

Only thing I remember being said about the tiny amplifier was the increase in highs predominantly, not actual low end bass.

from where, hopefully not more crap out of the fronts, its way too bass heavy as it is and rattles the doors.

need to roll those off at 80 hz and put the damn bass out of the sub, but hell, its not even a sub back there, its a speaker with tiny magnet floating around in mid air, lol

I am curious if the 10in Baselink would fit in the storage area under a seat.
