That does look pretty good; I like it. I have become addicted to my digital rearview, I bet it isn't much better than a normal mirror with that on though.

I was told the hi-rise topper I'm looking for won't be available until the end of the year. Which really throws a kink in my summer plans. So I found this topper on marketplace for the time being! The fit is a little big, but with a few mods it's been working great!

That does look really good. Do you have any more side profile pics?

What truck did that come off of? I want to get a utility canopy for mine but I"m not sure what other trucks would fit mine. Yours is a short bed right?

    I believe that's a 6.5 bed DC.

My truck is the DC 6.5 bed

I was told it was off a 2017 Silverado. I just messaged all sellers on marketplace asking for exact measurements until I found one close enough to my beds dimensions. Also have my own clamps that I ordered off Amazon for the Tundra.

To be honest, I think it looks pretty solid. You didn't mention what you paid for it. I assume you got it for a good price. Unless the fit is terrible...if it were me...I'd just keep rocking that cap and go on down the road.

    Will add toneau cover.
It looks nice and I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, BUT...

If you follow the seam between the bed and the cap, you will notice it gets wider over the wheel and then narrows again as you get closer to the cab. It appears to be bowed in that spot and doesn't look like a it's a tight fit. I'm not sure if it is a shadow or an illusion, but to my eye, it doesn't look right.

EDIT: After, checking out pictures of the bed without a cap, it appears to be caused by the body lines over the wheel well at the top of the bed. If they made the cap to fit the profile better, the seam would not be a straight line and would have a dip in it. That would look even worse. Either way, it looks funky to me.

Love the truck! Curious, the topper you used, what truck was it originally designed for? Need to find a temporary topper until I can order one. Thanks for any info or tips!

Love that Cap-It topper. Only real issue is that’s a Canadian company. I’m in Washington and it isn’t that tough for me to drive 5 hours to the nearest location across the border. But for many, I’d bet it’s a much longer drive. I haven’t seen any of this brand in my area. Anyone else seen cap-it anywhere near them? I’ve been looking constantly for a canopy and my truck is still being built.

Thank you for the heads up. That's what I had on my Tacoma. Loved it. Hoped to do the same brand again.

I’m in Calgary and have a Cap-It topper on my 2020 Tacoma. I emailed them last week asking about new Tundra and was told they still working on it. I am still on the fence if I want a topper on Tundra or figure out something else.

You and I are thinking the same thing. I do need a topper for some stuff. I built a rolling box for my last truck. I could slide my top on and off with ease and move it as needed (no real room in the garage to hang it from ceiling). But it wasn’t the most fun thing to do. That’s why I think I might go the soft top route. Lighter to move if I need to put it on the truck. I don’t want to lose the cameras I’ll have just for a canopy.

Yeah, I think I am leaning more towards one of the tonneau covers and some kind of a rack above it. But haven't seen anything yet that I can say: that's exactly what I need.

The only camera you'll lose is the one that looks back into the bed, which is only used for that view. The top down view will still work since the rear facing camera for that is on the tailgate

Here you go. I borrowed this SoftTopper from a friend. I believe it was originally for an earlier-model F-150. It was a very tight fit, but he said that was pretty normal. Drove it around 1,100 miles to CO and back this past Spring Break and it didn't blow off at 85+ MPH (even across Kansas!). Kept a lot of snow out of our gear. Easy to remove and store!

Any chance we could a few more pics. Closer up and fitment style. This is exactly what I was thinking for now. I need a topper for occasions. But really don’t want to run one that often

Do you know if the digital camera is off the tailgate then? My truck still isn’t here yet. Finished build date is 6 days from now. Then it’s gotta get from Texas to WA state. So figure I still have 3-4 weeks for sure

I ordered a Softopper after speaking with them directly back in March. Softopper advised they did not have the new specs yet to post on the website but the '21 Tundra model would fit. Everything works but the rear "spoiler" where the cameras are interferes if installed per their measurements. I had to move the whole topper back just over 1.5 inches to make it work.

As for the camera's the only one it interferes with is the one that looks into the back of the box when driving. Even then the clear window gives a partial view into the box.

I had a Softopper on my Tacoma and it was great. So far no issues with this one.

@Wpgtundra47 , that is a better fit than the one I borrowed. Any trouble with the front window panel trying to self-destruct on the interstate? My topper stuck up 2-3 inches above the cab and caught the wind, forcing it between the cab and topper. I had to climb inside and use small c-clamps to secure the bottom of the front panel to the utility-track. But it still worried me how much force was being placed on that front window panel.

No definitely do not have that problem at highway speeds with mine. I do have more space between the cab and the Softopper on this truck compared to my Tacoma but if its tightened down it doesn't want to move.

I also noticed that the front window is a bit bigger which had me worried at the beginning. I put some velcro strips on the front rail of the box to hold it in place. The Softopper also comes with snaps for the front panel but I could not find a suitable location to install it to the front bed rails on this truck.

I'm not sure I understand your question. There is a digital camera on the top of the cab that looks into the bed, as well as a backup camera on the tailgate. The backup camera is what is used for the 360 surround view. The bed camera is only used for viewing the bed when you turn that specific view on.

My concern with a canopy/bed cap, is losing the digital rear view mirror. I was questioning if you maybe knew if the camera for the digital rear view camera was located at the tailgate itself or if it is where the bed view camera is?
