Are the red interiors the only option for the White and Black trucks?

My dealer called today to ask about accessories and I was asked what color interior on a white Pro. I went with black even though the red does looks great. Must be my age 44 hahah but I wanted a less bright interior color.

Are they estimating any timeline? I put a deposit down last summer and my dealership has not asked me any preferences. Also have a Raptor on order with no VIN. The race is on.

No ETA was given. This was a dealer in Eastern, Wa. They had dealer training this week in Monroe, Wa on the new truck/Pro.

Yep, prototype models though. I am sure it wont be too different but just curious to see one once they are produced. I saw from the Toyota website it doesn't have Heads up display, digital rear view mirror, heated steering and maybe a few other things. I am still getting one anyway.

The digital mirror may be a purchasable addon at the dealer as the rear mid tailight does have the same camera built in that's used for the panoramic camera system:

    Pro Vs Platinum/1794 missing features:
    • Digital display rearview mirror
    • 10-in. color Head-Up Display (HUD) with speedometer, navigation and Hybrid System Indicator
    • Active aero front spoiler
    • Leather-trimmed 10-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats with 4-way power-adjustable lumbar support (vs 8way 2way)
    • Power tilt/telescopic steering wheel
    • Heated steering wheel
    • Heated and ventilated rear seats
    • Rear door sunshades
    • Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system / Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension
    • Trailer Backup Guide system with Straight Path Assist (SPA)

Thanks for the post this clarifies a lot. A lot I can live without for sure, hope we can add most of this after the fact like you mentioned about the digital display rearview mirror.

Any idea on when first hybrid motors will start being manufactured? I had heard March, but here we are….

Until you actually own it and have buyers remorse with all the components failing left and right.

Plan to buy whatever comes in first and keep the order for the other. Make a judgment call that way. With ADM on both and my deals MSRP, I may be able to trade without loss. Both are having turbo issues…

I went to check it out as I haven't bothered building one to price it yet. But sheesh; 65k for a Platinum 6.5' bed? Crap!

Wow. Quite a list. While I love the look of the Pro, I rarely go off-road. I would rather take advantage of the tech and luxury features you listed and go with a Platinum.

No hybrids on this weeks allocations at the 2 dealers I check in with… hopefully on the 16th’s allocation we see them show up!

I want the pro, but I hate the fact they force you to get the hybrid. The standard engine would be plenty for me and like you said just more stuff to go wrong. Plus it’s heavier with less storage and then there’s the extra cost.

I would not worry too much about the hybrid having “more things to go wrong”. Toyota has mastered the hybrid technology. Nothing goes wrong with the daughter’s Prius or the wife’s hybrid Highlander.

Different turbo was used on the tundra. The turbo issue is not a Toyota design issue but rather an issue with vendor supplied parts.

Makes a lot of difference. My original statement was a response to the idea that the hybrid was being promoted as a bogeyman in the dark (slightly paraphrasing). I’m saying that Toyota is the most experience hybrid auto producer and know what they are doing with it. Hell, if we’re going to start fearing anything new or advanced in technology ability, then we should all just remain in bed everyday and don’t leave the house. Oh wait, the new multi state gas furnace may blow up. Hmmmm.

I get it, I was simply saying with as much as they have struggled so far with the roll out qc problems and the ding they have taken in the court of public opinion is that I’m cringing on the next rollout since it’s more complicated than the base truck

Also this hybrid system isn’t like the others they have

    I hope it goes smoothly
