Wow… I found a 2022 Tundra with 210K miles already (VIN:5TFLA5AB5NX013039) on the CARFAX website! According to the CARFAX report, the owner drove the truck 109,452mi/yr and the only repair done was replacing the fuel line. I don’t see any record of the engine being repaired or replaced. Additionally, the owner did not consistently change the oil every 5K miles—sometimes it was changed at 5K miles, and other times at 10K miles. I’m currently in the market for a new truck and was hesitant about buying a Tundra, but this information is encouraging. It would take me 15 years to reach the same mileage on this truck! You can see the free CARFAX report (service history and issues) as well!

that's great news for me! My biggest concern is the reliability of the forced induction system. I don't want to have to replace turbos at 150K miles. Got my '24 CM limited 9 months ago and have 27k miles already. We only drive Toyotas and I was back and forth between a new Tundra and a low mileage '21.

Toyota recalled all non-hybrids from 2022 through feb. 2023 build dates.

I'm curious how much life is left in the powertrain after 200k+ miles in 2 years. I mean engine replacement/recall issues aside.

Since it's introduction before the engine failure/recall drama I have been wondering where these turbo gas engines land on the mileage/engine life landscape compared to everything else out there when it comes to expensive maintenance/engine work/significant component replacement.

Because some of the VINs were made on “clean days” at the plant.

Love to hear which VINs are not included within that date range. Aside from the Hybrids

Right at the break over date. Makes me question some of the info on here about when Toyota knew, and “remedied” if you’re January build date got a “good” engine and someone in February got one of the remaining “bad” ones. Why continue to put the bad ones in?

Add me into that group. Mine falls into the recall date window but when searched by Vin, mine is NOT included in the engine recall.
    Non hybrid 1794 truck.

Like, you really think Toyota is going to spend the time to publish such a list? I know I would not. None of your business who is/isn't included. They have notified those impacted based on their information. They own the process.

The more that is shared, the more questions. Would I like to know more? Absolutely. It is not going to happen.

According to the sales numbers I've found, Toyota sold a total of 104,000 Tundras in 2022. And another 10,000 in Jan 2023. So, a total of 114,000 trucks during the recall period. I believe that includes both non-hybrid and hybrid models. They recalled 102,000 of those trucks, excluding hybrids, so I'm guessing almost every non-hybrid that was built during that timeframe is included in the recall.

I do not think they will.
    They don’t owe me anything.
It’s still interesting to me and something that many would like to know, especially the guy that got left out despite being in the recall range.

I've bought 3 new vehicles in the last 10 yrs. I've specifically asked each time about break-in oil changes, and have been told each time that they aren't necessary. I still changed the original oil between 500 & 1,000 miles. Call me OCD, I even put a neodymium magnet on the oil pan to catch any metal as soon as I got the Tundra home. I removed it right before I did my break-in oil change. Who knows if this actually helped, but it made me feel a little better.

I doubt it helped. I’ve had two vehicles one with 190K and the other 137K without break in changes. The Tundra is my first break in change. Two Hondas I followed the olm on the first change. One had 190K and a current one with 80K.
