    I take off the plastic sill plates when I vacuum my carpets. I found a puddle in the wiring trough and the carpet pad was soaked. Drivers front only. Truck was parked with the drivers front angled slightly downward during a rainy day (usually park under a canopy). All windows, doors sunroof fully closed. no other water anywhere.
    Calling dealer for warranty coverage. This should be interesting.

    Moonroofs have been pretty good when they are factory installed. The panoramic roofs are nice too but rely on rubber seals to keep the water out.

    I had driver side grab handle leak but only happened twice over course of ownership on my 22 1794. Did notice was when truck was parked with nose pointed down.

    Dealer determined was panoramic roof. Entire roof was replaced and they pressurized cabin to perform issue was resolved. No issues ever since.

    I remembered reading something familiar awhile back. You may find this thread useful;

    If I'm not mistaken, even if the water gets past the seal, doesn't it move along the channel to the drains? I had a leak in my 2.5 gen sunroof, but the drain was blocked enough by a single piece of pine needle to allow water intrusion into the cab near the grab handle.

    Dealer soaked the car for 2 days, no new water. One night in the rain in their lot, confirmed windshield seal leak. Lucky me, the warranty also covers the Corolla le rental! windshield appt is Friday then more testing before Toyota releases the vehicle.

    Update 7/1/2023

    after torrential rains on Wednesday the carpet was once again wet. Back to the dealer when I return from vacation on Tuesday. Rigged my RV fan to dry as much as possible. Truck has been out of service for 11 days already for this warranty issue. 4 more and lemon laws kicks in. I like the truck but this is getting ridiculous. JBL is under the driver’s seat. 22 gauge wires don’t do well in moist environments. I assume the resale value has already been compromised.

    Your truck most likely has the same issue as mine. Almost 3 weeks at the dealership now, water is coming in through a faulty body plug/seam sealer in the drivers side floorboard.

    It was explained to me by the dealership and Toyota corp, that it’s that round plug under the sound deadening material. The tech can spray compressed air and water from underneath and get it to leak. Not the first truck they’ve seen with this issue.

    My reasoning for the mold/water collection near the back, is my driveway is pretty step and I generally pull forward. Unless loading up for a camping trip, road trip etc...

    Edit: I figured it was time to make a post, check it out here, hopefully it helps with your situation. https://www.tundras.com/threads/mold-2022-tundra-water-intrusion.126904/

    so, maybe this?
    Truck did take on water while parked but this was suspicious. Moisture was evident on the slanted portion of the firewall behind the pedals as well.

    I had a 2005 Titan that ended up with soaked front carpets after rain. I checked all over the front of the truck and couldn't find anything. Turns out there was a small gap between some metal panels in the rear cab body where water would seep in, then would run under the lower kick panels to the front carpets. You might want to check out the rear of the truck around the rear window to see if anything is coming from there. I never would have thought mine was originating in the back, but sure enough...

    @Buck Wallace,

    I did consider that when this first occurred. The driver’s rear mats were dry but the parked position may have kept the water from contacting the pad until it reached the front of the wiring trough. It’s pouring now and I’ve parked it reverse from its usual driver’s front pointed down posture. I’ll look at adding a dam along that path to see if there’s water passing through.

    Additional update for 7/4/2023.

    after completely drying the padding I parked partially under a canopy, front portion to about 1/2 way on the front roof panel. No direct rain forward of that point and very little coincidental water. Truck was angled up at the nose slightly. No new moisture in any area so far after about 2 hours steady moderate rain. Nothing like the downpour that caused the first and second leak. Going to the dealership tomorrow.

    Hope they get it sorted. We had a 2003 Subaru with dual sunroofs that they never got sorted. The only solution seemed to be parking it with the nose downhill. Even so we had to periodically run a dehumidifier in it overnight after rain to keep the mildew from catching hold.

    Thx, I’ve already sent emails alluding to the number of days that the vehicle has been out of service for Lemon Law. The truck is already substantially reduced in resale value IMO.
