Talk me out of it? Any thoughts? Any real world experience with 2022/23 Titan? I have a 21 SR5 TRD Off Road without any bells and whistles, which I don’t mind, 30k miles now….. Issue is truck seat isn’t comfortable for me after more than an hour. Hips and back start aching. I have added seat floor spacers. I paid 40k out the door for the truck and I am being offered a 2023 Nissan Titan HD Pro- 4x that is pretty much loaded out. Drove the truck for an hour, took thru a Mikes Car Wash (for leak check) and it is much more comfortable and really a nicer ride ( I know all new things are nicer at first) I owe 20k on my truck and they are going to give me 39k on trade. Truck list for around 68k and they are going to take 58k. So with the 19k residual as the down payment they said they could do an out the door price of 41k. Put it on an offer letter and whole 9 yards. Would still be twice as much as I owe on this but 100k 5yr warranty and mine is up in January. I guess does anyone know if bugs worked out on these. I drive to Michigan/ Ohio/ Illinois and Minnesota kind of regularly. Like the safety features in traffic. Anyone change seats out on these to something after market? Thanks. XD not HD. I like XD want the 6.5 bed….. Issues with parts of they are discontinued? I want this to be my last vehicle, looking at keeping until I can’t drive anymore. What I thought about the Tundra

I drove quite a few titans (and have had rentals) while looking at Tundras. They are good trucks and you can see once you start looking at specs how similar they are to the tundra. Only thing with the XD is they all have the longer bed, so the overall truck is longer. Not that big of a deal if you're ok with it. XD should have higher payload though and better final drive gearing. Not sure if the XD Pro4X gets the rear locker though. The drivelines on them are very good, you really don't hear about issues with them. The 9-speed trans is better than our 6 speed as far as performance, and it appears to be very durable as well. They also get better fuel mileage than the v8 tundra, but they all have smaller fuel tanks. Not sure how applicable that is with the XD though.

Only thing i wasn't much a fan of was the Nissan interior, but i did like they had a column shifter with bucket seats, much more room in the console. I previously had a nissan frontier pro4x, i really liked the truck. I wouldn't have any issue buying a nissan truck. They are usually cheaper than the toyotas, so the resale will be less. Just something to keep in mind.

I wouldn't do it. If I were you I would stick with the Tundra. If you have to switch, I'd jump in an F-150 to see if the seats are more comfortable. My local stealership has 3.5EB FX4's at 54K and it'll exceed the Titan's abilities and have aftermarket support well into the future.

Do it! the seats in that Titan are some of the most comfy seats out there. Also that 5.6 V8 is super reliable, you will have a solid truck for years to come. Just remember to stay on top of the maintnance as the Tundra can be more forgiving the Titan not so much.

I had an older Titan, 2006 I believe, and I loved it. Great ride and never had any issues with it.

I bought a Frontier for our daughter and checked out the Titan. It does look great on the inside so if you like it go for it. The only thing I'll add is I had to make 2 trips to the dealership to get her truck deal done and on both trips different salesmen said something along the lines of "This guy bought the right truck" when they saw the Tundra.

My brother says the Titan seats are shit.

For as much as they charge for one of those Titan XDs, you could get a domestic 3500.
