    After reading the concerns about the small gas tank size and before making a deal on a new SR5 with the basic TRD package, I asked the salesman if the TRD package included the larger gas tank. He said yes. After reading a few more posts, I became suspicious of his answer. I went to the Toyota USA website and looked at the build options for a SR5. They only list the 32 gallon tank on the premium TRD packages. The salesman is on vacation for a few weeks and the truck I dealt on is being built this weekend. I'm smelling BS. I may have to back out of this deal. Anyone have the basic, $2,260 TRD package that got a 32 gallon tank with it?

    Maybe this will help?
    Welcome to the club!

    This is the option I saw that first listed 32 gal tank as an add on. Anything below this did not list it and I choose a sr5 crewman 5.5 bed.

    It should have the 32 gallon but it should also be clearly indicated on the trucks spec sheet. Do you have that? They are already made and each specific vehicle has one which you should have access to if you put a deposit down.

    I have the spec sheet but it is silent on the gas tank size - which leads me to believe that it is the standard 22.5 gal.

    My spec sheet is also silent on fuel tank size - odd because it even lists "4x4 badge" trivial items but not something more important like fuel tank size.

    That being said, I have the 32 gallon tank. My point being that build sheet(s) may not have that info for whatever reason. Don't lose hope!! :thumbsup:

    I also have a limited with the larger 32 gallon tank and my spec sheet says nothing about the gas tank size. However, if you run it to empty it’s pretty obvious when you put 23+ gallons it’s not the 22 gallon tank. Or, at least that’s what I’m sticking with. I wish there was an easier way to find out.

    That's cause you both have higher trim model. Limited and above trim models come standard with 32 gallon tank. SR and SR5 are standard with 22 gal tanks but SR5 can be optioned with 32 gal tank with the right package option.

    You didn't specify which TRD package (TRD sport or TRD Offroad) you're getting but from what I've seen, the only way to get 32 gal tank with SR5 trim and TRD package is with the advance technology package. You can get the TRD sport or TRD off-road with 22 gal tank if it doesn't include advance technology package.

    TRD off road package without advance tech package 32 gal tank.

    The Advanced Technology package includes 32.2 gal tank. Otherwise it comes standard with 22 gal tank.

    @TakiEvo ahhhhhh... ic... <nodding wisely>

    Guess it depends on OP's option package choices then. I was mistakenly under the impression that SR got the small tank, all others were 32 gallon. My bad!

    I got the bigger tank with the TRD off-road and convenience package...not the premium or advanced packages
