2023 TRD Pro - Stiffer spring replacement for rear?

I have a 210lbs smartcap, + other stuff installed in the bed like batteries, fridge, Microwave and some cabinets and a tent which means I am always carrying 500lbs in the bed including smartcap weight
So with luggage and passengers, even though I am below 1200-1300lbs (TRD pro payload is 1400 or 1600 depending upon whom you ask), the rear always feels like squatting.

I am wondering if I can replace the rear spring with the same size spring I have right now, but with something stiffer? Or go with a slightly taller spring?

I don't want to touch the dampers, just want to change out the spring (so I guess I am limited to the size and cannot get anything larger probably).

Any suggestions on what can I use in the 250-500$ range which has the same quality as the TRD pro spring or better, but does not cause sag and the rear sits a bit higher rather than carolina squat?

 

I don’t have a Pro but I do have a lot sitting on the bed (~400 lbs) all the time and carry another 500 lbs from the hitch weight of the trailer.

I added 1” spacers from Westcott and this made all the difference.

 

I had the Westcott lift installed recently, but instead of their spacer, I went with a Dobinson spring in the rear to have a smidge more rake than the Westcott spacer provides. I know Dobinson's make springs for our trucks for heavier weight on the rear. I just went with their stock equivalent lift spring and it rides fantastic. I would recommend checking them out.

Will go Dobinsons or OME route. So how much taller is the TRD Pro spring compared to stock. If its 1", then I can go for a spring which is 2" taller than stock (i.e. 1" taller than TRD pro) which means I can use all stock components

 

What part number spring did you get?

 

I have no idea. Westcott ordered and installed. If you call them, ask for Carlo, and ask him what Dobinson’s rear spring was used on Dave’s orange Tundra.

 

Another question. If you get new rear springs only does alignment need to be repeated?

 

I wouldn’t think so since you’re not touching the front suspension, but I could be incorrect since the change of angle that occurs when lifting or lowering the rear end occurs.

I reached out to Dobinson and asked a recommendation for my TRD Pro with a truck vault and Leer Camper and be close to stock height.

They recommended the C59-837V. My set shipped today. Will follow-up after I have time to install.

 

I got my Dobinson's rear springs on my non-TRD Pro installed at Westcott with their front end lift. Give Carlo at Westcott a call, he'll point you in the right direction for what spring will work for you. Love the Dobinson's in the rear. Rides fantastic and it's progressive, so minimal sag when I hook my trailer up. It's been so good, my son is doing the same set up on his Tundra today.

 

I have a 23 TRD Pro. I installed the AirLift 5000 Ultimate. I tow a 5500lb (ish) boat. It removed all sag (which wasn't nearly as bad as others I've seen). And when you don't need it, you can deflate.
