Is the fuel gauge accurate? Many times I've driven my Tundra to empty (the yellow light shows on the dash and the app says I have 1 mile left) and filled it up and can only get it to take 19 + gallons of gasoline. I believe the advertised tank size is 22.5 gallons. Is the gauge that far from being accurate?

Specs for a 2023 Tundra Limited say the fuel tank is 32.2 gallons. And I don’t believe the gauge is right. Something I need to talk to the dealer about.

The SR has a 22.5 gallon tank I believe. And no vehicle in history has ever used 100% of it's capacity when the gauge reads empty. There's some fuel left in the tank once you hit empty, there's even some fuel in the tank when the engine dies due to "running out of gas".

Yes. No vehicle actually is out of gas when the dash says empty. This topic has been beat to death on the 2.5 gen page.

Just fill up when you're low and enjoy your truck. No need to contact Toyota about a non existent issue.

When I have done the math on AVG MPG and DTE my tank reads as a 20/22 gallon tank. I thought there was a TSB for this.

Nope. My first car was a 1999 Pontiac Grand am. Had a 15 or 17 gallon tank (cant remember anymore) and light would kick on and be at E and would still take 4 gallons to fill up.

My wife has a 2016 Honda Accord V6 with 17.2 gallon tank. Goes on E and will only take 12 gallons to fill up.

That is smart, they should all come with the 32 Gallon.
