2024 12v Battery Charging System Malfunction

Anyone have this issue? First time it came on was at the dealership when I bought it. It only comes on after 20-30 min of the truck being on and 2 different dealerships can’t figure it out. They say it doesn’t have any stored codes, they’ve tested the alternator and battery and both are fine, and basically said I need to bring it in while the error is on so they can plug it in and have Corporate remote in to diagnose… It has 320 miles on it.

 

had the same issue also at the dealership during pick up. I don't know what they did, but they said they did a "reset" of the vehicle and/or battery. Took them about 30mins. Almost sounded like as if they were rebooting a computer or something.

Gluck. I'm surprised the dealership couldn't figure out the issue unless it's a bigger problem than that?

I’ve got the same light coming on now. After 15-20 minutes of running it comes on.

 

Yes, they had to replace the alternator. The light came on every trip right at 17-18 minutes of continuous running (noticed the pattern pretty quickly on my drive to work on the freeway). If the auto start / stop happens at all at a red light, it resets the timer. Make sure the dealership knows they’ll have to let it sit there and let it run for 18 minutes straight to get it to throw the code.

The dealership reset the system, the light stayed off for about 200 miles before it came back on.
