was traveling along the freeway doing about 70 miles a hour when i decided to put it in cruse control. i push the cruse button heard a small clonk and the truck fell to 33 mph on the freeway. i then manage to get to a nearby toyota dealership in missouri told them what happened and i also recorded it with my phone. after the check in guy shut it off they checked it in and said they couldn't find anything wrong. don't know what happened but my new ford is on it's way

Last time cruise control was set it was 30 mph. Push up on the cruise control switch by mistake and you will hear anything not tied down shifting forward as the truck brakes quickly to get to 30. Been there done that. I regularly go through two small towns with about 1-2 miles of a 30 mph speed limit quickly going up to 65.

With all due respect, why join the tundra forums to say you're changing to a Ford?

If OP mistakes a blown engine for mis setting cruise control they deserve a ford

Get an extended warranty for that new Ford. I’ve consecutively owned 5 of them. The transmissions failed on my 2020 Explorer (trans oil cooler) and 2020 F-250 (pump or drum) at 5k and 66k miles respectively. Things aren’t made like they used to be.

I would be pissed as well. Please keep us updated on what the final problem was.

Is your Tundra still in limp mode or ???

A buddy and I are about to drop his F250 transmission. Pump failure at 138k. I can't say too much though, it's work hard on those miles.

I'm just going to say this...if I thought my motor was blown at 10k...I would be upset.

He is just venting like anyone else would. I was venting when my tundra front diff went out at 60k. If you could have been a fly on the wall...

    Thankfully I had a CPO warranty:thumbsup:

We should welcome new members regardless of "having a ford on the way." We are better than that.

Agree, a lot of these types of posts on various platforms lately, calling BS. OP post some pics if not.

Not that they need it. They sell multiples of full size trucks compared to Toyota.
Seems more angry/disappointed than trollish to me.

Haven't several of us said, "well, of course there are going to be more negative experiences on a forum than in the real world; people open accounts to talk about how disappointed they are"???

It may very well be trolling. Would love to hear actual details from @hvac
