Ordered my first Tundra Hybrid 2024 in Oct in Canada, seeing how long everyone is waiting for their Hybrid Tundras. Mine was speculated to arrive in 8-12 months. How long are you guys waiting for yours?

Toronto - picked it up in Clarington - really good dealership. When there was that recall on the tonneau covers they recommended a local retailer to buy the bakflip and bring the Toyota cover back to them - got the new cover dor $1300 installed and got a cheque in the mail for $2100 for the old one.

Been covered 100 times, you didn't "order" your truck. Your dealer put in for an allocation that fits your build sheet as close as reasonable. I'd expect 3-6 months for a new build'24MY, but they can very likely find inventory of a '23MY if you were open to that.

I ordered it, they allocate it; who cares what word I used. This thread is specifically for '24 Hybrid Tundras in Canada. I highly doubt the 3-6 months wait time you're guessing at is Canadian based, where are you purchasing from? I started this thread to get current wait times from people who have just ordered/fulfilled to get a more accurate read on the fulfillment.

Estimates for Toyota build times in Canada can be found here:

Nice terminology ! ...guess I did too but the problem is, I wasn't really looking. After seeing the 24 at a small Toyota dealership lot while on vacation it was all over. Been about a month now and weirdly don't miss the 16 at all, and I did a lot to it and was the best truck I've owned until now. This truck just glides effortlessly in comparison.

Awesome, so you don't find the TRD pro suspension lacking comfort for everyday use? I'm really torn between platinum and TRD pro, but platinum is what I ended up ordering due to city driving mostly. Where did you grab yours?

A small town in midwest ..premier Toyota, ask for David the GM. Had a couple Plats,1794 and a Cap also.

A pro was only trim interested in with all the choppy, pot hole, construction constant unpaved roads that seem to be everywhere. Also didn't want to mess with chrome delete again or getting better shocks. Toyota knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned !

Former Canuck here living in Dallas - dealers here (4 within 15 miles of me ) have about a dozen hybrids each on the lot - just picked up a 24 LTD Saturday as they are finally dealing on them at less than MSRP (lat year MA was $10k) Rest of my family in Ottawa and dealing with similar timeframes - hope it gets better sir.

I think you may learn a life lesson in the difference between waiting on an order and waiting on an allocation. Cheers

Just curious but would you be able to come to the US, buy a vehicle at US prices, and return the vehicle to Canada? I know our prices are cheaper and we seem to have more vehicles without the wait. I just never knew if that was an option for those living in Canada. I’m guessing if you do, you would have to pay for all the Canadian fees once you return it to Canada, just like if we buy out of state and county/parish.

Interestingly enough, I'm a canuck too, originally from California, and currently debating moving to Austin/Fort Worth. I looked into buying from Bellingham Toyota accross the border, but apparently even though I'm a US citizen, I can't buy it without a mailing address. The dealer said that this policy was put in place by Toyota to prevent just that. Its sad because the rep said they had some pros and plats coming in and I'd be able to test drive/pick what I want. Comparitivley, I'm having to buy a tundra in Vancouver without ever having test driven one because the dealers had zero stock when I ordered them.

Sidebar: Is this forum just filled with geeks ready to tell me how I didn't order a tundra but its being allocated to me? Yes, its being allocated to me, and yes I ordered my truck; both can be true. Go get a hobby

Edit: Yeah Asleepinthecove, I would have to pay duties/fees once I came back, and have to pay to take it to the dealer to have daytime running lights turned on/certified.

Get hold of SouthPointe Toyota in Calgary. These guys seem to have an absurd way of getting these.

I was in month 13 waiting for my 1794 Hybrid, started looking at a Capstone these guys had advertised. Talked with them then said I would wait for what I had ordered because I wanted the Advance Pack. Dude goes " how about this one". It was EXACTLY what I had ordered, so I drove up from BC and bought it.

They had 6 new Tundras sitting there!

Any Canadians get their 2024 Tundra Hybrids yet? If so, when did you put a deposit?

My dealer in Nova Scotia has 2 on the lot. A platinum and limited off road. This was unheard of just a couple months ago

Looks like the truck market is flooded, and prices should drop. I'm considering giving up my order, (allocation request for you elitists,) and waiting for price drop. Anyone else considering the same?

For my fellow Canadians out there, still no dice. Checked with my salesman today to postpone for the '25 model with massaging seats and lunar rock color scheme.

I didn't order my Platinum, The dealer, just outside of Toronto ,had several hybrids on the lot. A Capstone and a Platinum Advanced fit my requirements. My wife didn't like the white seats in the Capstone so I ended up purchasing the Platinum Advanced. Took delivery on July 23rd. So far no issues with the vehicle.

Ordered my Platinum 1794 Hybrid Mar 22 and it arrived Sep 07. Picked it up on Sep 14,2024. Pickering Toyota sales team was great to deal with and provided excellent service throughout the entire process. Worth the wait.
