My local Toyota Dealership has about 10 new 3rd Gen Tundra trucks in Stock, some with 6ft beds. They are selling many of them about $4,000 under MSP. Also offering great interest rate. Spartan Toyota of Lansing Michigan call and ask for Stefan Garrison 517-394-6000. They are shipping one to Texas this week, because the buyer could not find a better deal and they had the truck he wanted. I bought mine from him last fall and he is easy to work with, and a nice guy.

I've noticed some dealers in my area as well selling a lot of non-capstone/TRD pro trims about $3-4k below sticker, depending. I wasn't going to buy one quite so soon, but I found a dealer about an hour and a half away that had a few that needed to sell asap or it would mess up their upcoming allocations from Toyota. One just happened to be the exact truck I wanted (Minus being black and it was also the hybrid.) Ended up getting it for $8k below sticker.

Few weeks ago getting service at my local dealer in GA I counted 20 Tundras on the lot. When I was last in last October they had 4.

    That are stacking up

My dealer had a total of 79 (combination on hand and on allocation) and was offering them at factory invoice.

The new and used car market is slowing down.

Give it another 6 months to a year, it will be spicy for dealers. Most of them deserve to get their dicks kicked in after their COVID price gouging.

Just got mine in Texas two days ago for $7500 off in San Antonio. You have to work the dealers hard and against each other. $69k for 2024 Tundra Platinum Hybrid Max 4x4, with air suspension, catalytic shield, spray in bed liner, wind chill paint.

Just make sure to negotiate the "out the door" price, calculating the taxes and filing fees. Tampa, FL Toyota Dealers are all holding firm on the add ons you don't want. Here is the fine print from one. Check out the $1198 service fee and $2995 advatage adders. I walked away from 4 different dealers for not waiving these before buying this Tundra used at a Ford dealer.

    ---------
*Price is plus tax, tag, title, registration, any dealer-installed accessories, and a pre-delivery service fee of $1198, Private Tag Agency Fee of $189, and Electronic Registration Filing Fee of $559.55, which charges represent costs and profits to the dealer for items such as inspecting, cleaning, and adjusting vehicles and preparing documents related to the sale. New vehicle pricing excludes the $2995.00 Toyota of Tampa Bay Advantage. Pre Owned vehicle pricing excludes $2995 Toyota of Tampa Bay Advantage. All prices, specifications, and availability subject to change without notice. All advertised pricing is on in-stock units only and is inclusive of all applicable manufacturer incentives and may not be combined with other exclusive offers. Certain offers and incentives presume financing through the Manufacturer Captive Lender, subject to approved credit. Should you purchase the vehicle through the use of other funds, or through other lending sources, certain offers and incentives may be excluded. Due to supply chain challenges and limited inventory, vehicles may be subject to an additional market adjustment depending on inventory production, availability, and market conditions. I paid 62k 2wd platinum wind chill cat shield gas power running board. 2022. Yours was marked up like 6500 too high to start.

now if you got 0% interest then that’s a deal.

You gotta get out of FL. I live in GA and always look in surrounding states but FL. They are a waste of time with bait and switch pricing due to BS fees

Toyota allocation system runs on qtrs. I think end of April is the next qtr end that dealers want to get sales finalized to support future allocations. Hit some dealers with trucks on the ground in later April. Present as a fair negotiator and not a something for nothing guy and you can get a fair deal. I went line by line with my salesman in accessories and fees winning on some and conceding on a couple to get a deal done.

Set a goal of a fair deal you can live with on a truck you want you can get there.

Well this is frustrating to a certain degree for me, I know the market is slowing, but I tried to buy a new Honda HRV (a few months ago these were all sold before they even hit the lots) and they wouldn't take more than a grand off of it despite the fact that it had been on their lot for a while and they had about ten of them! :annoyed:

Told them it will be a second vehicle for me just to zip around in, and I am in no rush, I will patiently wait until they need to off load them and are offering more money off.

Cheaper vehicle usually have very thin margins. Driving them out the door at MSRP with taxes is about all you can do these days

Not like a $80k truck with $5k in accessories that is full of pork in the pricing

I was getting a couple recalls fixed the other day and my dealer had 13 Hybrids and probably 10 non-hybrids. While I was waiting, I test drove a platinum hybrid to get some lunch. The piped in engine sound gives you a false sense of power. LOL I'd like to upgrade from my 22 SR5 w/TRDOR Prem. to a hybrid, but my reduced trade value has eat up alot of my equity and I don't think I want to lose the underseat storage. Seeing people reporting 5-8K off msrp isn't that great. My exact truck built now msrp's for 4-5k more than when I got mine.

Wrong, there is always room for money off any vehicle, no matter what line of bullshit they feed you. Just got back from another steralership and got 2500 off the color and model I wanted, as well as the lowest possible interest rate! You just have to be ready to walk if they don't give you what you want!! The finance guy thought I was going to accept an interest rate of 8, I laughed and laughed and said try again or I walk!

Sounds like good times for prospective buyers ahead. My dealer, Toyota of Olympia had 47 on the lot last week.No Pro’s but a good selection of all the rest minus Wind Chill Pearl and Lunar Rock colors.

I drove through my local-ish dealer lot today after buying an oil filter and windshield wiper blades.

Not a ton of Tundras in stock, one TRD Pro in Terra. Doesn’t look as bad as photos suggest, but at that price I wouldn’t settle for whatever color is available.

I am tentatively starting to look but don’t see any Limited iForce Max trucks with TRD Off-Road, Premium Package, JBL, and no moon roof. I guess that is a configuration only possible on the Toyota configuration tool, but none will ever be made. The 1794 and Platinum don’t appeal to me due to price and can’t be configured how I would like anyway.

Toyota’s packaging decisions continue to make this truck a dud for my preferences unless I want to spend too much on a TRD Pro or other high trim with a bunch of shit I don’t want like a moon roof.

I thought I wanted lunar rock until every 3rd gen I would see was lunar rock. It’s a cool color for sure but I feel it is overdone at this point.

Most of the Portland area dealers have probably 35-55 on the lot. Hybrids and non hybrids. There is a guy on YouTube that goes around to dealers in Oregon and shows what’s on the lots. Usually posts a few times a week so you can see what’s going on.

    Yep.

Every Limited trim Tundra the local-ish dealer has on the lot or incoming is Lunar Rock.

Couldnt find one in any Western State May-Jun ‘23. Now, there’s one or two new Lunar Rocks daily on Reddit. Like you, I didn’t want a glass roof and couldn’t find a Platinum w/o one. Our White Wind Chill is our 7th white vehicle so why break tradition!! We love it

In somewhat related news we’ve stored about 150 or so auto-rack rail cars within the last month or so.

That suggests to me that things are softening up in demand for shipping of autos.

Freight is down in general on the rails. Could be a leading economic indicator.

I’m flabbergasted at the consumption rate of automobiles in the last 2 years. Like I know there were supply chain issues but did that many people really need brand new autos north of $50k? It seemed like an unsubstantiated demand.

I haven’t dove into the empirical data of demand was normal and supply was severely crippled beyond what we saw but it seemed like high dollar autos were being bought up yet all I hear is “I can’t afford groceries”

    Edit: not political just observational

    THIS!

Any time I go to any dealer, I open with "the only number I will discuss is the Out the Door price, don't talk about any other numbers or I walk." ... and yes, I have indeed walked when they tried to get sneaky. Just remember that there are always going to be other vehicles and other possibilities.

Most Oregon dealers are a chunk below msrp once you text them. Beaverton, Damian, Wilsonville, Roger’s, Grants Pass, K Falls, Capitol, etc. Right now my best offers for limiteds has been $7k off msrp. $8.5k for 1794. $7k off for platinums but one dealer thinks they can do $8.5k off msrp for any on the lot. Still trying to work that out. $10k off capstones a few months ago from another dealer.

I’m currently pitting a bunch against each other so we shall see. Still need my taco back together to sell before I can make moves.
